Men are often less likely to seek help or talk about their health. This can lead to issues becoming more serious than they need to be.

Healthwatch West Berkshire are running a survey to better understand the health, wellbeing and support needs of men in our local community.
The results will help them highlight gaps, improve services and make sure local support is designed in a way that will work for men.

The survey is completely anonymous. You do not need to give your name but your experience matters, and your voice can help make real change!

After 13 years (and 3 months!) of working at Burdwood Surgery, Cathy made the decision to retire. Her last day with us is today, Friday 19th December.

Throughout Cathy's time at Burdwood, she has been a wonderful member of our team. She has been loyal, kind and caring to all who have worked at Burdwood and to all our patients.

She has seen lots of change and has been instrumental in making a difference to the surgery and the lives of many of our patients.

While Cathy will be greatly missed, we wish her a happy and fulfilling retirement, doing all the things she loves to do, surrounded by all the people she loves.

The Partners and all the staff at Burdwood Surgery would like to thank Cathy for all her hard work and dedication over the last 13 years, we will miss you tremendously. 💚

The Florey Clinic (based at Royal Berkshire Hospital) will be out and about with their mobile pop-up testing van, offering quick, confidential and free HIV tests.

Pharmacy First is a service that lets you get professional healthcare advice and treatment for certain common conditions directly from a community pharmacy without needing to see a GP first.

You can walk in with no appointment. Pharmacists are qualifed healthcare professionals who will assess your symptoms, give advice and prescribe medication where appropriate.

It is a quick, convenient and often sorted on the same day.
