📢 NRASTC Course in Reading!

I am running a National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers & Coaches (NRASTC) course in Reading on Thursday 9th, Friday 10th & Sunday 12th April.

Please share this information with anyone who may need a full course or a renwal assessment.

NRASTC is a supervision and rescue qualification for teachers working on the poolside or in the water during programmed activities, such as a swimming lesson.

The New Year always starts with an Inset Day training session for the PR Department at The Abbey School. The team were delighted to be in the water (not) doing PXB board training 🥶💦
I have a full NRASTC course for new and expired candidates in Reading on the 22nd, 24th & 31st January with a couple of spare places if anyone needs a course ping me a message.

This afternoon was that biannual Christmas tradition of renewing my lifeguard qualification! Thanks to James Rodgers & the Bradfield College Sports Complex team for letting me gate crash your staff training session and to Javier Prado for assessing this old lady 👵🏼. I need to make sure Lisa Calcutt knows I got 100% on my theory paper but only a couple of seconds to spare on my timed swims so we are now lifeguard twins! 😜

A quick 30 lengths at lunchtime today 🏊‍♀️

Tomorrow will be my last swim of this 10k challenge. As a group we have raised a whopping £94,000!

I have 8 days to complete the final 2km 🏊‍♀️ My sport relief swim hat hasn’t arrived yet so I’ve been wearing the 50 years of Cobham hat gifted to me by Jenny Gray 🐸

So it turns out if you head to the pool at 7.30pm on a Friday evening you can have a whole lane to yourself and tick another 48 lengths off 🏊‍♀️✔️ Thank you to everyone who’s donated I’ve smashed my £150 target 😊
