What's in store for you in February?

January can feel like a hard slog, after the excesses of Christmas, the start of a new year filled with anticipation of what's to come, then you realise not much has changed.

Maybe you started with different intentions, to be healthier, get fit, blah blah... all those pesky social media adds and pressure. Boy the pressure. Its exhausting.

Dry January - did you do it? Another pressure to achieve.

This wellness lark is too much at times.

I hear you. I have felt the same in the past. That was until I decided wellness and healthy living is on my terms, not those set by others. Yes, I have taken guidance and suggestions from elsewhere, but Ive achieved more when its felt right and I have wanted to make the changes.

Single treatments are lovely and sometimes just what we need in the moment.

But for proper selfcare and to maintain our wellbeing, our bodies need constant care.

We can’t jump up one day and run a marathon

We can’t have one amazing meal and never fuel our body again

We can’t have one great nights sleep and never snooze again

Relaxation and recovery is just the same. Consistency is high on the priority list. Regular treatments , committing to nurturing yourself and allowing your nervous system to ease, your mind to stop racing all in the knowledge that you’ll leave feeling incredible afterwards is why I have a membership scheme.

There are 3 levels of membership , offering a treatment a month - from 30 or 60 minutes, and a range of rituals in the top level.

In addition to the Holsitic treatment side of my business, I occasionally run workshops and retreats. The first this year is on Saturday 14th March at the beautiful Soul Barns I Mortimer (2-5pm)

It is one of a series of gentle 2 hour workshops based around the change in seasons.

They include guided meditation, seasonal reflection, journaling and calming sensory rituals to help you slow down, reconnect with yourself and align with natural rhythms.

Held in the week before Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. No experience needed — just time to pause and reset. You don’t have to do all of them (but after the first you might want to 🥰)

Complementary Health and Wellbeing

Maintaining good health and feeling well is one of the most important goals we all strive for. Sometimes life throws a spanner in the works and its a little harder than it should be, that’s where a complementary therapist comes in. Treatments can, on first impressions, feel like a indulgement for the privileged; even the word ‘’treatment’ is misleading as it implies they are a pampering session. Yes, a visit to Radiance should leave you feeling pampered, but it should also leave you feeling more in control, more balanced and with a greater sense of clarity about your health and wellbeing.
