As solo business owners it’s important we build a network of cheerleaders and supporters. Without these connections we can become lost and it can feel lonely at times.

Just as in ‘real life’ we need our gang, tribe - whatever you want to call those people who understand you, know and appreciate the challenges you face and even when they haven’t been through the same things are there to listen and provide an ear.

Last week I had coffee with a lovely lady I’d met through networking. She’s another therapist, does facials and sells skincare. I’ve met far too many people in the past who would have considered us as competitors, but there’s space for us all.

Turned up at networking today and she was there, with a bunch of flowers to thank me for my time. This is what small business owners are about. Having each others back and appreciating each others work.

Not a bad way to start a Monday!
