It’s really not that exciting—it’s just my tonsils! 😅

I’ve been battling tonsillitis for about five years now, getting it 3–4 times a year! I requested to have my tonsils removed last May, and as we all know, the waiting list is a long one. Then suddenly, you get a date with very little notice—and if you don’t take it, you’re right back to the end of the queue!

I’ll do my absolute best to be back in the clinic within 10 days, which should take me to 2nd May. If I’m not quite there yet, I’ll be in touch regarding those Saturday appointments.

In the meantime, it’s lots of ice cream and a few sofa days for me 🍦📺. I’ve also stocked up on some new books to get me through—one of them being The Testaments, because I’m far too impatient to wait for the full series to be released!

Clinic as normal Tuesday and Wednesday next week 😘

We have recently seen an increase in patients attending the clinic for lip correction procedures.

Please be aware that, unless the situation is an emergency, your practitioner—unless they are a qualified Doctor or Dentist—is not permitted to carry out elective dissolving treatment on the same day.

This procedure requires a valid prescription issued by a medical professional with the appropriate prescribing qualification. Even registered nurses are not authorised to assess and administer dissolving treatment during the same appointment without a prescription. In non-emergency cases, obtaining this prescription can take up to 48 hours.

If you are offered same-day dissolving treatment by a nurse or beautician in a non-emergency situation, this would be in breach of legal regulations.

As an independent nurse prescriber, I maintain appropriate emergency stock; however, for treatments relating to non-urgent or undesired aesthetic outcomes, a prescription is always required.
