In March, our Food Safety and Quality Campaign turned its focus to Food Safety Control - the foundation that ensures every product we make is safe, legal, and consistently high in quality. At the heart of this is HACCP, our structured, preventative approach to identifying and controlling food safety risks before they can impact our products or our customers.
Food Safety Control is about understanding the risks in our processes and managing them with discipline and care. Whether it’s controlling temperatures, monitoring critical limits, verifying equipment performance, or ensuring effective cleaning, every control we apply protects the integrity of the food we produce.
HACCP gives us the framework, but it’s our people who bring it to life. By recognising hazards, following procedures, and acting quickly when something isn’t right, we prevent issues long before they become problems. This proactive mindset is what keeps our products safe and our standards strong.
Consistency is key. When we complete our checks properly, record information accurately, and challenge anything that looks out of place, we strengthen our entire food safety system. Every colleague plays a vital role in maintaining control and in doing so, we protect our customers, our reputation, and the trust placed in us.
