Tonight kicked off with ale tasting 🍻 and a hilarious slingshot challenge using walking frames, resistance bands, and bean bags. The best part? Activities coordinator Michelle became the “target” 🤣💥

Our residents had a wonderfully creative weekend! We began with some beautiful hummingbird art 🕊️🎨, followed by cosy autumnal crafts to get us ready for our upcoming Harvest Festival. 🌻🍎🍂

It was lovely to see everyone’s talents shine and to share lots of laughter along the way. A big thank you to our activities team for bringing the season to life through colour and creativity! 💜

🌿🐍 Celebrating Wildlife Day at Buckingham Lodge 🐌🦎

September 4th marks Wildlife Day, a time to reflect on endangered animals and the importance of protecting them.

Today, our residents enjoyed a fascinating rainforest animal experience with ZooLab, meeting lizards, snakes, tarantulas and snails up close! 🐍✨

It was a truly engaging afternoon — full of smiles, curiosity and conversation. These special experiences bring joy to our residents and spark wonderful memories and stories to share with family and friends. 💜

We kicked things off for National Coconut Day with some creative palm tree crafts 🥥 🌴 — though a few went a little nutty with the number of coconuts they added 🤣.

Our wonderful kitchen team kept us fed and refreshed with delicious lamington cakes, coconut shakes, and of course, no coconut day would be complete without Pina Colada's🍹✨

We rounded off the day with a fun-filled karaoke party — the perfect way to celebrate in true tropical style. 🎤💃

🧶This afternoon our Knit & Natter group was full of chatter, smiles and creativity. ✨

Betty and Margaret had lots of fun unravelling wool 🧵 while Esme, Pat, Iris and Rosemary carefully worked on beautiful poppies 🌺 for this year’s Remembrance Day display.

Alongside the poppies, the group have also been busy knitting tiny baby hats 🍼❄️ as part of the Winter Warmer Project – spreading care and kindness far beyond our home.

As he travelled back to Withernsea in East Yorkshire with his family. 🚘
Ted put a Wish on the homes 🌿 to go back to places where he had lived with his late wife of 60 years Joyce. 🌹
Being a passionate mororcyclist having owned a ASG 350 in his younger days it had to involve a visit to see some local motorbikes 🏍️ bringing back memories of Joyce and Ted travelling around Scotland on their Honeymoon..

🎉🌴 Caribbean Party Day at Buckingham Lodge! 🌴🎉

We ended our Caribbean Week in style with a fantastic Caribbean-inspired party day – and what a celebration it was! 🥳✨

Residents and staff enjoyed dancing, live music from The Lee Vasey Band , and even face painting, all while tucking into a delicious feast of jerk chicken, curry, rice and peas. 🍗🍛🌶️

The smiles, laughter, and music made for the perfect finale to a week full of colour, energy and joy. 💜
