Scrabble games, our usual lovely chats along with some Autumn crafts and drawing.

This morning Ann, Margaret and I went along to our Wednesday church service. It’s always so warm and welcoming to go in to our local church just down the road. Margaret was so relaxed listening to the prayers and hymns whilst Ann was joining in singing away and chatting to others. We then enjoyed a cuppa and cake at the end of the service. On our way out Ann spotted an unusual feature on the church grass which she went to investigate to see what it was.

Today’s baking we chose to make a traditional Victoria sponge with some delicious home made raspberry jam from Maria’s daughter in the middle…. Can you guess who wanted to lick the bowl after we had finished🙂
To balance our treat of cake Janet, Dee and Janet helped prepare some bowls of fruit for all to share.

Whilst others were watching tv I spent a bit of time with the lovely Jean and Bryan, my goodness did we have a giggle. We were talking about age and what we got up to when younger, I said to Jean she must be nearly 100 now and Bryan thought it was hilarious the look on Jeans face when I said it. We have such a good enjoyable relationship with our residents and know how to get them going🙂

It was our weekend bingo today, so nice to get residents together and see them helping each other out. The favourite part of the game was when I had asked residents what numbers they needed to a full house and Mo had told me hers and the next number to come was that number, I kept watching her and waiting for her to shout bingo to which she had this beaming smile on her face as she knew she had won🙂
