โจ As teachers, we are not just guiding movements. We are listening to stories. Each student arrives with their own history, experiences, and relationship with their body. What looks like the same pose on the outside often carries very different meaning on the inside.
๐ฟ This is why teaching yoga is not about chasing a perfect shape. It is about creating space for people to explore their own version of a pose. When we remember that, we step away from rigid ideals and toward teaching that empowers, supports, and adapts.
๐ก Your role as a teacher is less about correcting alignment and more about helping students discover what alignment means for them. That shift changes everything: your cues become invitations instead of commands, and your classes become places where students feel seen and safe.
๐ฅ When you teach from this perspective, your confidence grows too. You no longer need to know every answer. What you need is curiosity, compassion, and a willingness to meet people where they are.
