Thank You for Supporting Our May Fair! 🌸

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our May Fair at Ruby Lodge and helped make it such a wonderful day.

We were delighted to see so many residents, families, friends, and members of the local community joining us for the celebrations. Your support, smiles, and enthusiasm made the event truly special.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to all of the stallholders who attended. Your hard work, creativity, and generosity helped create a fantastic atmosphere and gave everyone plenty to enjoy throughout the day.

Events like these are only possible because of the support and involvement of so many people, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed, attended, and helped make the day a success.

Today we celebrate Dementia Hat Day, with plenty of smiles, laughter and a little creativity!

Residents and staff spent the afternoon enjoying the sun with some wine and cheese, proudly wearing handmade newspaper hats made earlier in the day

Even Reuben Bear joined the fun, wearing his best paper boy hat.

Moments like these really do matter. They bring people together, spark conversation, encourage creativity, and remind us of the joy that’s only found in the simple things in life.

A huge thank you to everyone who got involved, and helped to make the day so special 💜

🏆🎂 The winner of the Country Court Bake-Off Competition is... Charlotte Legge from Castor Lodge Care Home! 🎂🏆

Charlotte wowed the judges with her incredible campervan-themed birthday cake, featuring four delicious layers: Coffee & Walnut, Lemon Drizzle, Red Velvet and Victoria Sponge. Inspired by an era loved by residents, the ambitious design showcased exceptional creativity, skill and attention to detail.

This year's competition celebrated the amazing birthday cakes our teams lovingly create for residents and colleagues, making special occasions even more memorable. Judged on presentation, taste, innovation and baking skill, the standard was incredibly high.

A huge congratulations also goes to our fantastic finalists:

As part of Dementia Action Week, we're reflecting on a wonderful Dementia Matters Talk hosted at Ruby Lodge Care Home with dementia campaigner Tommy Whitelaw. 💜✨

The event brought together families and members of our local community for an opportunity of learning, sharing experiences and raising awareness of dementia.☕🍰

Tommy's honest and heartfelt stories sparked meaningful conversations and highlighted the importance of understanding, compassion and supporting those living with dementia.🫂👐
