Just amazing!

So on Monday we had the absolute pleasure of handing over a cheque to the Lambert to fund a full time nurse!!
This wouldn't have been possible without all the amazing support we have for our fundraisers, sponsors, continuing donations & the hard work from all our team members!

Thirsk Doctors Surgery has an opening for an enthusiastic and motivated Phlebotomist / Healthcare Assistant to join our supportive and established team. The post is being offered at 16-30hpw, working Monday to Friday, between 8am and 6.30pm.

The role will offer you the opportunity to build on your experience and development of working effectively within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.

A Venepuncture/Phlebotomy qualification is essential.

We are incredibly proud to announce that as of today, for the first time, we're welcoming overnight patients into The Lambert hospice in Thirsk.

Last year, we cared for more than 3,000 patients and their families across Hambleton and Richmondshire. The opening of overnight care at The Lambert will allow us to expand this support even further, enabling our patients to receive expert hospice care and comfort through the night, while remaining close to home, surrounded by compassionate professionals.

Tony Collins, Chief Executive of Herriot Hospice, said:
"Opening our doors to overnight patients is a proud and deeply meaningful moment for our hospice. It means local families will be able to access specialist end-of-life care, compassion and reassurance through the night, close to the people and places they know best. This milestone reflects the dedication of our team and the generosity of our community, who have helped to turn a vision for better local hospice care into a reality."

We hope that this fantastic news will further strengthen access to high-quality hospice services for local people and their families, ensuring they can receive the care and support they deserve, during life's most difficult moments.
