📱Turning on NHS App notifications is a simple way to help the NHS save money while staying informed about your healthcare.

Notifications can remind you about appointments, test results, prescriptions and important updates, helping reduce missed appointments and unnecessary letters or texts.

Using the NHS App makes it easier to manage your health in one place, saves time for NHS services and helps resources be used where they are needed most. Making this small change can have a big impact for you and the NHS.

As part of the ongoing improvement works to Station Road in Thirsk there will be two road closures in the coming weeks.

The road in front of the Tesco filling station will close at 7pm on Sunday, 11 January for one week. This will be a full 24‑hours closure for the full week with no access available.

Overnight closures between 6:30pm and midnight will also be in place from the Tesco/Lidl roundabout to the railway bridge from Monday 19 January for 25 weekdays.

We have notified key stakeholders, including the emergency services and Tesco.

Children under 6 are now routinely offered the MMRV vaccine as part of the NHS childhood vaccination programme.

MMRV replaces the existing MMR vaccine and adds protection against chickenpox, alongside measles, mumps and rubella.

You don’t need to do anything — your GP will contact you when your child is due.
