Our thoughts are with Matt's family and friends at this sad time. πŸ’š

We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Matt Capsey, our Associate Head of Professional Standards and a valued member of our team.

During his career, Matt made a significant contribution to the paramedic profession and was someone who was much-admired and highly-respected by those fortunate enough to work alongside him. He will be greatly missed by colleagues and friends and our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time.

Do you live in North Yorkshire? Would you like to help your community? We are currently looking for new volunteers to join Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust Community First Responder (CFR) scheme.

CFRs are volunteers who are trained to provide life-saving treatment to patients in the vital first few minutes of an emergency until our ambulance crew arrives.

When a 999 call is received in our Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), an ambulance response is dispatched. At the same time, a CFR on-call in the area can be alerted and asked to attend the incident to ensure that help reaches the patient as quickly as possible.

The vacancy will close on Friday 27th May.
