Increase in temperature rising across the UK.

With weather reports showing increase of high temperatures, it is important to keep yourself safe.

BBC News have posted an article showing the symptoms and difference between heat exhaustion and heat stroke - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cy7n6m7y6yvo

When your body increase in temperature your blood vessels open up which results in lower blood pressure.

People who are older or people with long term health conditions such as heart disease are sometimes less able to cope with the strain heat puts on their bodies.
If your blood pressure reaches low enough you are at higher risk of a heart attack.

Tips on staying cool:
- Avoid being in the sunlight between 11:00-15:00
- Drinking plenty of fluids avoiding too much alcohol
- Stay cool inside by closing your curtains and blinds
- Stay in the shade , use sunscreen and wearing wide brimmed hat

It was great to see everyone at our Epilepsy awareness training this week. This invaluable training equips our carers with the knowledge and skills to recognize seizures, provide effective first aid, and create a supportive environment for those living with epilepsy.

Thank you to Humphries from Acorn Health and Safety for the great session.
