Cold and Flu season

Now we are coming into the colder months viruses are spreading across the country including the new variant of Covid. As Covid now is treated like any other Flu or cold it is still important to follow standard hygiene and taking precautions on not spreading your illness to others.

Wash your hands - Everyone should be washing their hands after going to the toilet, before and after meals , even after being outside. There is no correct number of times you should wash your hands per day however if you believe you are only washing your hands once or twice a day then that is far to low.

Don't spread your illness - If you are showing symptoms then you should be limiting your contact with other people and not getting into contact with anyone who has vulnerable immunity. This include people with medical conditions and people over the age of 70.

Use a tissue - Coughing and sneezing are the easiest way of spreading your illness. Ensure you sneeze and cough into a tissue , bin your tissue and then wash your hands.

Stay hydrated - Keeping hydrated boosts your immunity allowing your cells to work efficiently. It is easy for us to not drink as much in the colder months but it is still as important as it is in the hotter months.

πŸ₯ Why We Conduct Care Needs Assessments Before Starting Care

As a CQC regulated care provider, we always begin with a comprehensive care needs assessment - and here's why it matters so much to you and your loved ones:

πŸ” Personalised Care Planning

Every person is unique, with different health conditions, preferences, and daily living requirements. Our assessment ensures your care plan is tailored specifically to YOU.

⚑ Safe & Effective Care

We identify potential risks, medical needs, and safety considerations upfront - meaning we're prepared from day one to provide the safest possible care.

πŸ’¬ Understanding Your Goals

It's not just about medical needs - we learn about your lifestyle, interests, and what independence means to you, so we can support your wellbeing holistically.

πŸ‘₯ Family Involvement

We involve family members and carers in the process, ensuring everyone's on the same page about care requirements and expectations.

πŸ“‹ CQC Compliance

This thorough assessment process is part of our commitment to meeting CQC standards, giving you confidence in the quality and safety of our services.

πŸ”„ Ongoing Reviews

Needs change over time, so we regularly review and update care plans to ensure they continue meeting your evolving requirements.
Your care journey starts with understanding - because quality care begins with truly knowing the person we're caring for.
