Did you know that over 18 million adults are deaf, have hearing loss or tinnitus? It's also estimated that 1.2 million adults have hearing loss severe enough that they would not be able hear most conversational speech.

We also thought that was a lot of people and so we have now started a Hearing Care service at Johnson & Furze! We want to help people hear better as well as see better.

All eyewear is produced from the highest grade cellulose acetate, a high quality
plastic originating from the renewable resources of wood pulp and natural cotton fibres. Acetate retains its colour brightness impeccably over time because its hue is embedded in the material rather
than sprayed on, which also prevents any colour peeling. It contains unique aging stabilizers that
prevent fading, yellowing or other discoloration from UV light or skin contact. Acetate is also
hypoallergenic, making it safe for those with sensitive skin.

Even when the Sun is low,
You should protect yourself from the glow,
Whether or not there's a dusting of snow,
Wearing sunglasses is more than just show.

Winter isn't typically the time of year when sunglasses are at the front of everyone's mind, but with winter comes shorter days and the Sun not getting as high in the sky, but this also means that the Sun (when it's actually out!) is shining directly into our eyes. Sunglasses will help protect your eyes and the surrounding skin from UV damage.

Bevel uses a range of high quality materials for their frames.

They use pure Japanese titanium for many of their models and all hinges. The titanium is milled out of a single piece which means there are no solder points to reduce the strength of the material. Each titanium frame is triple painted to give the colour vibrancy.

The acetate that Bevel use is Japanese acetate; known for it's rigidity and so is less prone to distortion. The acetate is placed over a titanium base for even more rigid and striking pieces.
