Congratulations to you all. And well done to those mentors too - it’s a very special journey.

We're utterly delighted that there are 4 more Iyengar yoga teachers in the world today. Congratulations to Amanda, Hugo, Jane and William. We're so happy for you and your mentors. It's such a rigorous journey to become an Iyengar yoga teacher. MDIY hosted the assessment weekend and enjoyed the company of these 4 all weekend. It's been great! It wouldn't happen without a great group of volunteers. Thanks to all of you who dedicated some time to us this Sunday morning. Your time is much much appreciated.

Are you a Level 2 or 3 teacher? Are you coming to IYOGA Festival this year? We are looking for teacher helpers to be part of the asana sessions at IYOGA Festival. In return, we offer:

Teacher Helpers support the safe and smooth running of the yoga classes. You may be asked to:

Demonstrate poses : Assist less experienced students : Help with props and class setup : Assist someone with particular needs : Tend the Help Desk for an hour

Commitment:

Assist in 1 class per day during the festival : Be available from 11am on Registration day (or join us to help on set up day on 31st and get dinner, breakfast, lunch and a free night’s accommodation if staying onsite)

International Women’s Day

Today we celebrate the women who have shaped, guided and sustained the living tradition of Iyengar Yoga.

We remember with deep gratitude Geeta Iyengar, whose dedication and profound understanding of the practice transformed the way yoga is taught and experienced around the world. Her work continues to inspire generations of teachers and students.

We also honour Abhijata Iyengar, who carries the teachings forward with insight, strength and compassion, sharing the depth of the method with students across the global Iyengar Yoga community.

On this International Women’s Day, we celebrate the strength, intelligence and resilience of women in yoga. Teachers, students, organisers and practitioners who nurture and sustain our community every day.
