It’s been a busy summer in the Walled Garden! 🌱
From a fantastic harvest of fresh produce, to our wonderful 40th Anniversary celebrations (yes, we partied in the rain! 🎉🌧️), there’s lots to share this month.

🍅 Fresh fruit & veg from our kitchen garden
🍰 Delicious bakes in the café using our own produce
🌼 A brand-new look for the double border
🍏 Apple harvest season beginning – with our famous apple juice now on sale!

Thank you to everyone who has supported us – from visiting the garden and café, to celebrating with us at our anniversary event. 💚

Are you 16+ with additional needs and/or autism and looking for a meaningful day placement? Come and spend the day with us at Beyond the Wall!

📅 Wednesday 27th August
🕙 10am – 2pm
The Walled Garden, Thornham Walks, Thornham Magna, Eye, Suffolk, IP238HA.

You’ll get the chance to try:
🚜 Lawn mowing
🌱 Potting up plants
🍅 Harvesting produce
💧 Watering the garden
☕ And of course – cake and a drink in our tearoom!

This is a relaxed, friendly day where you can experience the activities we do, meet our team, and see if Beyond the Wall feels right for you. 🌸

The Garden is producing a bumper harvest at the moment, the Members have been working hard to keep up with the abundance of produce! Currently available we have:
Beetroot, chard, beans, spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers, potatoes, onions, kohlrabi, carrots, aubergine, squash, courgettes, peppers, melons, plums, apples and apple juice!
Our fruit and veg is all grown without artificial inputs, just a lot of love and patience. Buying our produce supports our charity and opportunities for our Members :)

The apple juice has arrived! The first of the seasons apples were picked earlier this week, the variety is Discovery, one of our favorites. The apples were picked by the Members on Monday and Tuesday, taken to the press Wednesday, Juiced and bottled Thursday and are now for sale in our shop! We know some of our wonderful customers have been desperate to get their hands on some, its a beautiful colour and flavor this year.
By the end of next week we also hope to have our Tydemans Early Worcester juice available too. :)
