A few days away after the scanning season. Sea Kayak trip from Barra to Sanday, Pabbay and Mingulay.
Still managed to see a few cows on my travels to this lovely remote part of Scotland.

We don't see that many sows in the year. Helping out one of our clients who had a breakdown with their own scanning machine. Great images and endorses the flexibility of the duo scan/ oviscan set up from IMV imaging GB & Ireland. Sows easily handled with a good helping of cupboard love.

Scotland loses land to forestry, rewilding, and carbon credits, but biodiversity dwindles instead of flourishes.

No pressure on the scanner then. World wide live stream of Winny giving birth to her expected sextuplets. Well done David on his accuracy. Shame about the still born but really impressed with not only the strength of the kids but the condition of Winny after delivering all those kilos. The extra TLC has been succesful. 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐👍

Flat out sheep scanning just now. However slipped in some back end calving cows this week with interesting results.

Two different farms.
Total cows pregnant 176 Total number of twins 18
10% twin rate, hope that is not a trend for the season.😮

Picture is a Simmental X cow, scanned for triplets and pictured with her three progeny a few years ago.
