Trauma is physiological. It doesn't just fade away over time. It sits there, getting perpetually triggered, until it is processed. The good news is there are effective treatments, such as EMDR, that process trauma. Once our brain has reprocessed a memory, the trauma is healed and it stays that way. It doesn't creep back over time.

Thank you for your interest in working with me. I’m currently at full capacity and expect a short wait until early March before I can offer new appointments.

You're very welcome to get in touch with your availability (preferred days/times), and I’ll do my best to provide a more accurate timeframe. If you’d prefer not to wait, I’d also be happy to recommend other trusted practitioners.

As a guide, the recommended maximum caseload for a psychotherapist is around 30 sessions per week. While I occasionally reach that limit, my priority is always to offer the highest quality care. Maintaining this standard sometimes means creating a short waiting list to ensure each client receives the attention they deserve.

Once a referral is made (self or professional) and an initial appointment is booked, I’ll send an appointment confirmation by email.

This includes my new digital counselling contract, which can be:

✔️ Signed electronically
✔️ Emailed straight back to me
No printing. No scanning. No last-minute paperwork panic.

Whether you’re self-referring or referring someone in a professional capacity, I aim to keep the process clear, simple, and human — so you can focus on what actually matters.
