💡 HCPC Updates for Physiotherapists – Don’t Panic!
Recent changes to HCPC Standards of Proficiency might sound daunting, but if you’re already HCPC registered and practising within your professional standards, you’re already compliant. There’s no need for extra audits, expensive courses, or unnecessary stress.
To make things easier, we have recently updated our HCPC template checklist covering each requirement, so you can quickly see what’s needed and stay on top of your compliance.
Q1: What is Soma Flex®?
A: Soma Flex® is a reusable internal intimate wellness product and responsive pelvic floor and vaginal toner, designed to gently support pelvic floor body awareness during everyday movement. It is a soft, flexible, responsive shape that moves with your body, worn discreetly and focused on comfort, internal connection, proprioceptive awareness and interoceptive awareness, rather than on treating or fixing medical conditions.

Are you doing your pelvic floor exercises? 💪
If you’re a woman, they matter more than you might think. Pelvic floor exercises are proven to help with common bladder and bowel symptoms—and if you don’t have symptoms, keeping these muscles strong can help prevent them. These issues are common, but they’re not something you have to live with.

I do not think there is any therapist who has not felt this at some point in their career, so rest assured you are part of a club .
"Imposter syndrome is loosely defined as doubting your abilities and feeling like a fraud." It disproportionately affects high-achieving people, who find it difficult to accept their accomplishments. Many question whether they're deserving of accolades.
There have been moments when I have found myself asking the question "Who am I to be talking like I am the expert?", in truth, none of us are born the expert but with time coupled with making a few mistakes along the way comes knowledge, wisdom, and skills.
Do not be afraid to step out of your comfort zone, you will not always get it right but that is the pathway to becoming 'the expert'.

The professional massage mitts are designed for individuals who wish to take an autonomous approach to improving their health and the health of others.
The Fascial system has been defined as a whole body web, a network that encompasses and surrounds all organs, muscles, bones and nerve fibres from the top of our head to the tips of our toes.
It also provides a functional structure of support for movement.
It is a packing material that every structure and cell is embedded into providing an environment that enables all body systems to operate and for cell to cell communication to take place in an integral manner to regulate homeostasis.
Massage with the massage mitts promotes healing and flexibility by stimulating the body’s own physiological responses to reducing stiffness and pain. Massage initiates the body’s own homeostatic processes by stimulating the soft tissue where you are massaging thus turning the stimuli into nature’s own biochemical and neurophysiological responses, improving well-being and restoring function.
