As we observe National Baby Loss Awareness Week, we invited you to join us for the Global . On October 15th at 7pm, we lit our candle for the eveningin memory of all the precious babies we've lost. This simple act of remembrance can bring comfort and connection to those who are grieving. Remember, you are not alone in this journey. Together, we can create a wave of love and support. 💙🩷

It's Baby Loss Awareness Week and we are proud to come together in remembrance of all babies and to raise awareness of the issues around pregnancy and baby loss 💙🩷

There are lots of ways for you to get involved in the week from wearing a pink and blue pin, sharing social media posts, joining challenges to taking part in a local event or Ribbon Display.

The week will end with the Global on Wednesday 15 October where we ask everyone to light a candle for 1 hour at 7pm in memory of our much-loved babies.

Many bereaved parents find this week helpful as it offers a safe space to talk about and remember our babies. However, the week can also be overwhelming and intense, so we encourage you to take part in a way that is right for you and take a break from social media if you need to. Keep an eye out for Ribbon displays in your local Co-operative Funeralcare branch, Funeral Director or supporting charity locations.

Together we are stronger and we are proud to turn pink and blue.

Our Remembrance Tree is now on display, and you're warmly invited to visit, write a heartfelt message on one of our ribbons, share a quiet moment and a cup of tea with us, or, if you can't make it in person, send us a message or photo and we'll place it on the tree for you.

Everyone is welcome to take part in this gentle act of remembrance. 💕

Last Wednesday, we marked a truly special moment as we officially opened Fur-Ever Loved – our beautiful new pet memorial garden at Mayfields Woodland Burial Ground.

Joined by families, including those of Paddy, our beloved Mayfield cat, we shared stories, memories, and heartfelt words led by our celebrant. Together, we honoured the cherished companions who brought so much love into our lives.
This peaceful space has been created with care and compassion by our incredible team, offering a dedicated sanctuary to remember your much-loved pets.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for last week's memorial service. It was a truly beautiful evening, one that reminded us of the strength and comfort that comes from coming together.

A very special thank you goes to Margaret Anne Harrison, who so generously officiated the service. Margaret always goes above and beyond, volunteering her time and offering unwavering dedication to these events. We are so grateful for her compassion and commitment.

Our sincere thanks also to Love, Jasmine, whose presence meant a great deal. Their continued support for some of our families is deeply appreciated, and it was an honour to have such special people with us.

We were also pleased to welcome Kylie from Dignity Funeral Care and her colleagues. It was lovely to see them supporting their families through such a tender time. Aftercare and ongoing support mean so much to us, and it’s reassuring to know others share in that commitment.

Thank you again to all who attended and helped make the evening so meaningful. Together, we continue to remember, support, and heal.

At Mayfields, our grasslands are left to grow as part of our dedication to wildlife conservation. But as the temperature rises, so does the risk of wildfires.

To help protect our precious environment and keep visitors safe, please:

You know how important the environment is to us at Mayfields, that's why we will be attending the Cool Heswall event this weekend. Refreshments, activities and community spirit, what more could we ask for?

Cool Heswall is free to attend and will be full of Wirral residents who care about nature and the climate, just like us.

If you see our friendly team around the event, please stop and say Hello!

We're looking forward to being at Cool Heswall on Saturday with our crafts and plant stall!

There's always plenty to see and do at this event. You'll find lots of local groups who are involved with local climate action so it's a great chance to have a chat about the ways you can get involved or make positive changes at home or in your work place.
