Visible ageing is a gradual process driven by changes within the skin; reduced collagen production, a weakening moisture barrier and slower cell turnover.

The aim isn’t to erase every sign of ageing, but to maintain healthy skin function so it stays strong, resilient and well-supported through the winter months and beyond.

Clinically supported strategies to slow visible ageing:
1. Daily SPF
Provides essential protection against UVA-related ageing, even in winter.
2. Morning Vitamin C
Helps defend the skin against oxidative stress and environmental exposure.
3. Night-time Retinoids
Support collagen renewal and improve overall skin quality.
4. Skin Boosters
Hydrate the deeper layers of the skin and support elasticity.
5. Microneedling
Promotes controlled collagen production for smoother, firmer skin.
6. Consistency
Targeted, regular routines are more effective than occasional skincare changes.

If you’re unsure which elements your skin would benefit from this winter, a professional skin assessment can help create a tailored, medically led plan.
Healthy skin can be supported at any age.

One of the most common questions I’m asked is:

“Profhilo or polynucleotides, which is better?”

The reality is, they’re not interchangeable.

Profhilo® is a bio-remodelling treatment.

It uses a high concentration of hyaluronic acid to:

• Deeply hydrate the skin
• Improve elasticity
• Support skin firmness
• Address mild skin laxity

It works by dispersing within the tissue, stimulating collagen and elastin to improve overall skin quality.

Polynucleotides are regenerative.

They act at a cellular level to:

• Support tissue repair
• Stimulate fibroblast activity
• Improve skin integrity
• Strengthen and restore more fragile or damaged skin

They are particularly effective in areas such as the under eyes, where skin is thinner and more delicate.

So how do I choose?

Treatment selection is based on:

• Skin quality and thickness
• Area being treated
• Degree of ageing or damage
• Your overall treatment plan

In many cases, these treatments are not alternatives, they are used at different stages, or in combination, to achieve the best outcome.

The best results don’t come from choosing a popular treatment or a trend they come from choosing the right treatment for your skin and your goals.

📩 If you’re unsure what would benefit your skin I would love to help. Comment helps or DM me CONSULT for a link to book

Some eye creams hydrate.
Some smooth.
Some firm.

This one does all three… and that’s why I love it.

Obagi ELASTIderm Eye Cream is one of those products that quietly gets on with the job of improving the delicate eye area.

It’s rich, hydrating and designed to target the most common concerns around the eyes — dryness, fine lines and loss of firmness.

The clever part is the Bi-Mineral Contour Complex™, which supports elastin to help the skin feel firmer and more resilient, while malonic acid gently refines the skin so the eye area looks smoother and brighter.

The texture is beautiful too — nourishing without feeling heavy, which makes it perfect for morning and evening.
Just dab gently around the orbital bone and let the formula do the work.

Your eyes deserve good skincare too.

Collagen is receiving a significant amount of attention, but it’s important to focus on what is clinically effective.

Rather than relying on trends, the priority is supporting the skin in ways that preserve existing collagen and stimulate natural production.

Collagen is a fundamental structural protein responsible for skin strength, resilience, and elasticity.
From the mid-20s, production declines by approximately 1% per year, gradually impacting overall skin quality and integrity.

This is a natural physiological process, but it can be effectively supported with the right approach.

Evidence-based treatments that help stimulate collagen and improve skin function include:

• Microneedling – promoting natural collagen production
• Skin boosters such as Profhilo, polynucleotides, and Hydromax – improving hydration and supporting tissue repair
• Medical-grade skincare – including vitamin A, vitamin C, and peptides to protect and optimise skin regeneration

The focus is always on maintaining healthy, functional skin and supporting long-term skin integrity.
Consultations and treatments can be booked online, and medical-grade skincare is available via my online platform.
