Residents popped into Little Meadows Shop today and had a great time browsing and picking up a few bits. The personalised shopping bags were a hit and proved really useful!

💖 Valentine’s Day Fun at Thurlaston Meadows! 💖

Love is in the air — and so are the birds! Today our residents have been getting creative with some heart‑themed Valentine’s crafts, filling the home with colour, laughter, and plenty of love.

We also spent time making homemade bird feeders to help our garden visitors through the colder days. It was a lovely mix of creativity and care.

It’s amazing how a simple craft session can bring everyone together and brighten the whole home. ❤️

We celebrated Chris’s birthday at Thurlaston Meadows yesterday with a lovely cake and afternoon tea. Her beautiful smile said everything about how special the day was.

A Joy‑Filled Afternoon at Thurlaston Meadows Care Home
Today we were delighted to welcome Gift of Years, who filled our home with beautiful hymns, smiles, and music.
Our residents joined in with their own instruments — tambourines, shakers, bells and more — creating a lovely shared moment of rhythm and togetherness.
After the hymns, we continued the fun with some arts & crafts, where everyone enjoyed getting creative and making something special.
It was a wonderful afternoon of music, laughter, and community. Thank you, Gift of Years, for brightening our day!

Today we treated our wonderful, caring team to a little Blue Monday pick-me-up ☕💙
Hot chocolates, cakes and cookies were just what we needed to warm the day up!

Our residents joined in too… although the treats were very quickly guzzled before we could grab a photo! 😋

Yesterday our residents got creative making beautiful bookmarks and butterfly themed cards, lots of colours and proud smiles all round.
This morning a few residents enjoyed a trip to the village coffee morning, catching up with familiar faces and soaking up the community atmosphere, while others stayed back for an energising exercise session with Jack from Fitnniss - Wellbeing in Care
