🐾 Pet Therapy 🐾

This afternoon we have spent the afternoon with our Pet Therapy Dog Rodney who has visited all the residents and staff and enjoyed a fuss off everyone!

The residents enjoyed giving Rodney lots of treats.

Its so important to have these Pet Therapy sessions as it brings a sense of joy and remembrance to all.

We had conversations about what dogs the residents used to have.

🎶 Music Afternoon & World Samosa Day 🎶

This afternoon the residents and staff enjoyed samosas and spring rolls for National Samosa Day. They went down a treat yum yum 😋

We also had a musical instrument session where staff and residents enjoyed different instruments, which enhances cognitive function. Improves emotional wellbeing and reducing anxiety.

🍕 National Cheese Pizza Day 🍕

This afternoon the residents enjoyed a sensory session making pizza's for National pizza day.

They chose which fillings they would like on there pizza. Once they were cooked they went down a treat yum yum 😋

💃 BOLLYWOOD DANCING AT RYLAND VIEW 💃

Join us Friday 12th September at 3pm for some Bollywood Dancing on Haines.

There will be costumes and props for us all to use.

Food & Drink will also be available.

🍷 International Red Wine Day 🍷

This afternoon our residents & staff enjoyed a glass of red wine for International red wine day!

We had alcoholic & non alcoholic for everyone to taste.

Its important to have afternoons like these to promote socialising to keep the mind stimulated.

🎲 GAME DAY 🎲

We have been busy with our residents enjoying a day full of different games to play.

Having these afternoons, as it helps stimulate our senses, it provides a sense of togetherness and quality time with each other 🎯.

🐶 INTERNATIONAL DOG DAY 🐶

Today we have had a calm and sensory day to keep our residents feeling stimulated with some pet therapy.

We went around with our homes very own sensory dog, Milo. What a fab name, our residents picked it out 🐕👏.

Today's theme is a perfect opportunity to celebrate the beloved pets that we have in our lives, why don't you all show us your lovely dogs? Our residents would enjoy seeing some fluffy faces! 😌

There will be more events coming up with some pet therapy, so keep a look out.. woof! 🐶

🍎 Apple Picking at Ryland View 🍎

This afternoon Norman enjoyed tasting our home grown apples from our apple tree here at Ryland View.

We have had a lovely sensory afternoon. Picking and tasting the delicious apples 🍎

🎤 Elvis At Ryland View🎤

On Friday 15th August we had one of our residents favourite singers Elvis in the building.

We had a brilliant afternoon in our newly refurbished garden on Bloomfield unit.

Our residents, families and staff were all singing & dancing, it was such a fun afternoon.
