For Global Intergenerational Week, we've been celebrating the stories, friendships and moments that happen across Anchor's care homes and housing communities every single day.

At Anchor - Elderwood care home in Darlington, resident Eric formed a special friendship with a young visitor, Alice, who visited her nana, Kath.

After losing his wife (who was also called Alice), Eric chose to gift her cherished childhood teddy bear to Alice, knowing it would be loved once again.

Across our communities, these intergenerational connections take shape in all sorts of ways - between residents and visiting families, neighbours who look out for one another, and friendships that span years, backgrounds, and experiences.

We're proud to be home to moments like these.

Residents at Pemberley Place in Bath recently took part in Virtual Reality sessions, delivered in partnership with Ellia as part of our Be Well 360 programme.
The sessions gave residents the opportunity to explore new places, reconnect with memories and share experiences together - all while supporting wellbeing and social connection.

Hello, my name is Sharon, and I’ve been part of Anchor for seven years. In my role as a Housing Services Administrator, I’ve had the joy of working alongside wonderful colleagues and building truly special relationships with the residents at Meadow Court.

I feel incredibly lucky to do a job I love, surrounded by people who make every day meaningful. I can only hope the next eight years are just as rewarding as the past seven 💛

When I’m not at work, you’ll usually find me scrapbooking, shopping, gardening, baking, or out walking my two dogs 🐾

Today we celebrated Maisie’s incredible 106th birthday 🎉👑
Maisie would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who sent her a card she received an amazing 159 cards! 💌
She had a truly lovely day, enjoying every moment as the birthday queen, surrounded by her friends and family. A day full of love, laughter, and very special memories ❤️
