As we dive into exam season, I've witnessed the stress that some teens and parents are experiencing. With over a decade of supporting young people's mental health in various educational settings, I've noticed a significant increase in anxiety and emotional challenges.
Various factors, from social media to exams, friendships, family dynamics, and the hormonal whirlwind of puberty, contribute to the overwhelming nature of growing up today.
I understand the importance of providing teens with a chance to discover both physical and mental calmness, offering a safe space for them to just be themselves. While my experience as an Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) was valuable, I observed that many students needed more than just conversation to find that tranquil space.
Reflexology provides a secure holistic therapy that aids in regulating the nervous system, complemented by breathwork and a safe environment for open discussion. This approach helps calm the body's fight-or-flight response, reducing cortisol and allowing the body to rediscover its natural balance. By targeting specific reflex points in the feet corresponding to various systems in the body, I can tailor a treatment to benefit your teen, offering them relief during this challenging time.
