As the moon disappears into shadow, we gather in sacred stillness to honour the unseen, embrace introspection, and work within the mysteries of release, protection, and renewal.

Step into the Temple space for two days of deep reflection, candlelit devotion, ancestral whispers, and powerful Dark Moon magick.

This is a time to shed what no longer serves, set intentions in the fertile void, and walk the Crooked Path with purpose.

Yesterday the temple space came alive in the most beautiful way.
Little hands, open hearts, and Beltane magic wove themselves into every part of our altar creation. Together, the children helped build our Beltane altar—crafting handfasting cords in the sacred colours of fire, fertility, and union, choosing herbs and flowers for seasonal offerings, and intuitively selecting the candles for the God and Goddess.
Every leaf, bloom, crystal, and flame was placed with intention. Every thread woven carried blessing. Every choice honoured the turning of the Wheel.
This is the heart of Beltane—community, creation, sacred union, and the passing of old ways into new hands.
As we prepare to open the temple doors on 30th April, under the rising fire of Beltane and the luminous Full Moon in Gorse, this space is becoming something truly special… a living altar of family, spirit, and seasonal devotion.
May this sacred season bring fertility to your dreams, fire to your spirit, and blessings to your path.

Each gathering begins by releasing the previous month—we return with our medicine pouches or intention bundles and ritually burn what no longer serves, honouring what has been learned and making space for what is to come.

We then move into a gentle ceremony, working with herbs, symbolism, and intention-setting, as you create a new medicine pouch aligned with the energy of the New Moon ahead. This is a deeply grounding and empowering practice, allowing you to consciously step into each lunar cycle.

A Day of Quiet Magic & Sacred Transition

As the light softens and the Moon begins her descent into darkness, we open the doors of The House of Blackthorn for a day of stillness, reflection, and subtle magic.
This is not a workshop, nor a structured gathering, but a living temple space, held gently for those who feel the call to pause, breathe, and turn inward.
Throughout the day, you are invited to step into quiet communion:
Sit in meditation beneath the unseen branches of the Oak
Journal, reflect, or simply be
Light a candle for release, for intention, or for nothing at all
Work your own personal rituals within a held and sacred atmosphere

The Turning of the Trees
This Dark Moon carries a powerful threshold, the transition within the Ogham from Hawthorn into Oak.
Hawthorn, guardian of thresholds, of heart-fire and sacred crossing, begins to loosen its hold…
And in its place, Oak rises, ancient, rooted, sovereign.
The exact moment of this shift falls just beyond the veil of midnight:

Today at The House of Blackthorn, we gathered in sacred space to honour the energy of Hawthorn through Ogham 🌿🤍

Surrounded by blossom, candlelight, and the quiet hum of connection, we explored the wisdom of this powerful tree—its ties to the threshold, the heart, and the unseen realms. Hawthorn reminds us of balance: protection and openness, boundaries and blossoming.

Each participant stepped into their own relationship with this tree spirit, working with Ogham, reflection, and intention. The space was filled with insight, laughter, and something truly magical.
