As my own daughters have started exploring skincare and makeup, I’ve seen first-hand how overwhelming the market can be, especially with social media pushing trends, pretty packaging and products that aren’t always suitable for young, delicate skin 🫠
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not an advocate for letting kids loose on makeup up or skin care - but if they’re going to do it, let’s make sure they’re using stuff that’s decent! 🤷🏼♀️
As a skincare expert, I already offer pharmaceutical skin care in my clinic, but these are costly and contain active ingredients that aren’t always necessary for children.
So when clients began asking me what’s safe and affordable, I made it my mission to research the market properly. I wanted to find gentle, barrier-friendly options that protect young skin without exposing it to harsh actives too early.
As children grow into teenagers and hormone changes begin, they may eventually need mild active ingredients to help prevent acne… but for now, the foundations matter most.
Good hygiene and daily SPF are the simplest, most effective remedies for healthy, confident skin. ❤️

I will happily offer advice on what’s right for them, even if I don’t offer it in my clinic 🤗
