Different setting for our chair exercise work out this week. Doors open a lovely breeze and everyone stretching, reaching and throwing! Happy days. Thank you Karl for our weekly work out.

Today we welcomed Reverend Charles to lead his first communion with us. It was lovely to be able to welcome him to Castle Grove and we look forward to seeing him on his next visit.

The gorgeous weather continues into another week. We sat and chatted in the garden today making the most of the wonderful weather and the beautiful surroundings we have. A bit of fresh air and vitamin D is great for the well-being of all of us. Happy days!

This week Sue came to talk to us about her role as an Exeter Red Coat Guided Tours guide. She talked about the role and shared her knowledge of Exeter through the ages and the many changes that have taken place over time to the city. It was very interesting and the tours which are free to join, take place nearly every day of the year, so well worth a visit.

Start of a brand new week with a cheese and wine party. The sun shone, we had the doors of the orangery wide open and enjoyed chatting as we tried a variety of cheeses accompanied by a glass of our choice.

Friday started with a visit to "6 on Castle Street." If you haven't been - it is a must "go-to" and the white chocolate and lemon cake is full of citrus flavour and delicious!
We then enjoyed a visit from Jonathan and his jazz session with him playing the clarinet and saxophone. This was a great end to the week and enjoyed by all who attended.

Thursday morning keep-fit with Karl today was well supported. He worked us hard - stretching and pushing and everyone always enjoys this session.
We also sang happy birthday and admired another specially designed cake!

This week we welcomed the Tiverton Museum team back to Castle Grove. The theme this time was "celebrations." Remembering 18th and 21st birthday traditions, christenings and weddings along with national Royal celebrations. Some of us donned wedding hats and we thanked the team for generating lots of discussion which brought back many special memories.

Lots of stretching today in our Chair exercise class with Karl. All the teaching and stretching helps us keep active. The highlight of the session had to be when Kez brought her new baby to meet us all. We were so pleased to see her back for a visit and to meet her lovely baby boy. The residents all wanted to meet him.💙🏋🏻

Wednesday - what a glorious sunny day! Out came the gazebos, sun hats and sun cream. We enjoyed sitting in the sun where some of us ate under the gazebo. So lucky to have such beautiful gardens here at Castle Grove☀️🕶️

Wednesday we set out to the Toucan cafe where we enjoyed cake, hot cross buns and coffee. The owners here are very accommodating and attentive - much appreciated🍰☕️🫖
