Dear all

We're pleased to report that a very muddy Old English Sheepdog, Susie, returned home late last night. Alan and Marie would like to thank everyone who helped to search for her during the evening. What a relief!

Templeton Village Fete (Saturday August 9th) at Templeton Village Hall, is less than two weeks away! Open to the public no earlier than 1.30pm. Make sure you have plenty of small change with you to buy raffle tickets, produce, plants, bric-a-brac, cakes and savouries, and to play the fun games!

The annual charity tractor run was yet another great occasion on Sunday 11th May at Templeton Village Hall. Thank you to all the generous farmers who took the time to show their classic tractors and to those who came and supported the event - they raised much-needed funds for St Margaret's Church and the RSPCA (£495 shared between each)- thanks especially to Roland and Lisa for organising the event and to all the team providing the food and on the bar.

A reminder for everyone to be vigilant as there has been yet another burglary at a farm in Rackenford yesterday afternoon.
If you think that a burglary is happening, call 999. Or call 101 for non-emergencies.
Or you can contact the police anonymously by phoning 0800 555 111 if you want to report any suspicious behaviour.

We know that there are many trees down in the lanes around Templeton and hopefully these have been reported to Council's the out of hours emergency - but there's a tree down at Temple Cross which is concerning as its the only access into the village - this one has been reported. It's passable for low cars.
We're going to report it again, highlighting the risk for the village.

Dear all
Here is a message for us all:

Please Slow Down!

This is an important reminder for us all in Templeton (as well as in other villages in the area). The mornings and evenings are getting darker, and children are having to walk up our narrow lane from Templeton to catch the bus at Temple Cross, and also people are often walking their dogs in the lane. Please could everyone reduce their speed to keep us all safe, and be aware that children may not have torches and there is no pavement for them to escape to on that road.

Road Signs saying ‘Be Children and Animals Aware’ will be put up on the private land at either end of the village. This may also allow delivery drivers to be more conscious of the danger of speeding around the lanes in Templeton.
