Keeping active in winter is rewarding, but cold weather and darker days can make our running and cycling routines feel harder on the body.

If you're feeling stiff, tight, or just a bit off-balance as we move through February, this Thursdayโ€™s class is your chance to reset.

Weโ€™ll focus on releasing the winter tension, rebalancing overworked muscles, and rebuilding stability with breath-led movement. Itโ€™s the perfect way to maintain strength and mobility through the colder months.

This Sunday Deep Rest is back, 5-6.30pm at Calderdale Yoga Centre, a hour and half of restorative yoga practice, shifting from 'doing' to just 'being', and giving yourself a bit of time to dedicate to yourself and slow down.

For those dealing with prolonged stress or burnout, the effects aren't just mentalโ€”they become physical. The nervous system gets stuck in a sympathetic ("fight or flight") state, leading to chronic muscle tension, fatigue, and a feeling of being constantly wired.

This is why short-term solutions often fall short. The pattern is held deep in the bodyโ€™s tissues, and time is needed to find the balance again.
