Last week we were in Rhyl, conducting a Health and Safety Audit at a care home.
Within one hour of leaving, we were asked to provide the client with a full suite of health and safety policies and a complete training package for their staff.
The same client has also asked us to perform a similar service for two care homes in Accrington.

This week will be two Legionella Risk Assessments, a Fire Risk Assessment and three full Health and Safety audits for care homes in Bacup, Accrington, Rhyl and Oldham.
And we've got to drop off a Business Continuity Plan, Fire Risk Assessment, Legionella Assessment and updated fire plans to a care home in Rawtenstall.

We had a busy day yesterday running round Oldham and Middleton conducting fire risk assessments at a factory, a wellness centre and a childrens home.
During the day we received enquiries for People Moving and Handling training at a care home near Burnley. Then we were asked to provide a fire risk assessment in Halifax.

Today is a day off (Mum's 85th!), then it's back to work on Monday with an Emergency First Aid at Work course in Halifax

Part of our Dementia Awareness course looks into the brain to discover how different parts of the brain affect different areas of our body and behaviours.
For example, the Temporal Lobe deals with memory and aural processing.
That'll explain why music is great for triggering memories.

Offer praise and encouragenent,

Full day courses available for care workers, and shorter courses for all other customer facing staff in shops, offices and additional support roles.

In July 2004, having just set up my little training company, I ran my first ever course. Appointed Persons First Aid in Halifax.
Since then, our portfolio of courses and additional H&S related services has grown massively.
