I’ve been assured by a few that these little gummies are meant to help with sleep, energy levels, immune function, cognitive function, gut health and more! I know that mushrooms are SO good for us….so let’s see!

This is what a prolapse disc can look like. If in the proximity of a spinal nerve it can compress it and lead to symptoms in the muscles and regions that the nerve supplies. This gives me as an osteopath vital clues as to the location of the problem. And helps me to identify where decompression is required to preserve the nerves blood supply.

The red bulge on my model spine here shows how a disc bulge can affect an adjacent spinal nerve. You have probably heard the term ‘slipped disc’ but this is actually not possible. Discs are firmly attached to the vertebral bones above and below them, but their fibrous walls can weaken, bulge and in some cases prolapse, leaking their contents which further irritates and compresses the nearby tissues and nerves causing severe pain.

If someone comes to me and I suspect a disc injury then I would aim to reduce inflammation by optimising fluid dynamics in the body (to disperse inflammation and improve nourishing blood supply) and reducing compression around the injured disc to relieve pressure off any affected spinal nerves.

There are rare situations where I have to refer for a scan or to the medical system to consider surgical intervention to relieve the pressure on a nerve but feel assured I am trained to recognise this and give you safe and appropriate advice.

I just love working with babies. Tension in muscles or fascia can cause issues with latching, digestion, comfort and sometimes limit range of movement (e.g. restricted neck rotation in one direction).

It is so special to see them visibly relax as they respond to treatment.

If you want to know if I might be able to help your baby then please contact me. I’m always happy to chat and answer questions.
