This is an appointment only clinic for over 75 year olds and those who are autoimmune. If you are unsure if you’re eligible, please do not hesitate to contact the surgery. Chantry Road will be closed with access only to residents on Tuesday 31st March 2026 between 9am - 4pm.

There will be access to the surgery car park, but please do not park along the road. Alternative parking can be found at the library or where possible please walk. Thank you.

Patient notice: Our clinical system has gone down and this appears to be Kent-wide. Due to this and for the safety of our patients we have had to disable Anima during this time. Please contact the surgery by phone if you have an urgent medical query only or use an alternative local service such as the pharmacy. If you have an appointment already booked, please still attend as normal. Thank you.

All patients eligible for the Spring COVID booster vaccination will be contacted directly with a self-booking link this week to book into one of our dedicated clinics.

**Please do not submit an Anima request re COVID booking or eligibility**

We currently have 3 available afternoons:
Thursday 16th April 2-6pm
Friday 24th April 2-4pm
Thursday 30th April 2-6pm

Depending on demand further clinics may be added.

Eligibility criteria for the vaccination include over 75 years of age, immune deficiency diagnosis/condition and patients who have received/receiving chemotherapy or radiotheraphy in the last 6 months.

Eligible patients who are registered as housebound will be contacted again once a date has been confirmed for vaccination visits.

Where possible, please use the self-booking link to book your appointment to keep our phone lines free. However our dedicated reception team will be available to support you with booking if needed. Thank you.

Updated meningitis antibiotic clinic details:

Who is eligible for precautionary antibiotics?

- all students and staff living on campus at University of Kent

- close household contacts of cases who have been identified by UK Health Security Agency or who self-identify as having contact with a confirmed case

- Club Chemistry staff

- People who visited Club Chemistry on March 5, 6 and 7.

No booking is needed and you do not need to bring ID, but bring your NHS number if you have it. A bottle of water is recommended.

Please note - you cannot pick up medication on the behalf of others.

Senate Building, University of Kent, CT2 7NZ - Open daily from 9am to 8pm.

Gate Clinic, Kent and Canterbury Hospital, Ethelbert Road, Canterbury CT1 3NG - Open daily from 8.30am to 7.30pm.

Thanet Community Health Hub, Northwood Road, Broadstairs, CT10 2WA - Open daily from 8.30am to 8pm (last patient 7.30pm).

Westgate Hall, Westgate Hall Road, Canterbury, Kent, CT1 2BT - Open daily from 8.30am to 7.30pm.

There is a meningitis outbreak in the Canterbury area.

Sadly, 2 people are known to have died. It's important to know the signs of symptoms of meningitis and septicaemia.

If you are feeling unwell and unsure or worried please call NHS 111 for advice.

If you or someone you know develops symptoms of meningitis or septicaemia, seek medical help urgently by going to the nearest Accident and Emergency department or calling 999.
