The Autumn flu campaign starts on the 1st October 2025. We are planning to administer flu vaccines on the following dates;

Thursday 2nd October
Saturday 4th October
Wednesday 8th October

All eligible patients will be contacted by the surgery to book an appointment via text message or telephone at the beginning of September.

These dates come with a warning that they may be subject to change due to availability of the vaccine.

Patient Notice:
Marden Medical Centre will be closed on Tuesday 12th August 2025 from 1pm to allow all practice staff to take part in a protected learning time training session.

If you require emergency medical treatment while the surgery is closed, please call NHS 111.

We will be open from 08:30am as usual on Wednesday 13th August 2025. Thank you.

Did you know you can now recycle your used and unwanted inhalers at the surgery?

Our receptionists have a designated recycling box that you will be able to drop your inhalers into over the desk.

Please make sure you remove any personal identifiable information from the device such as your prescription labels.

Living Well Taking Control is hosting a free patient webinar on Friday 1st August 2025 from 12 noon - 12:40pm to raise awareness of the link between physical activity and type 2 diabetes prevention.

The session is designed for patients who are at risk of developing type 2 diabetes or have been diagnosed with prediabetes bit have not yet accessed the NHS diabetes prevention programme.

Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells Trust (MTW) have recently introduced a patient portal called: Patients Know Best. This portal provides access to patients (16 years and older) outpatient appointment letters, outpatient appointment details and online information and resources about care. It allows patients to amend and cancel outpatient appointments online instead of calling, and to receive notifications about upcoming and newly booked appointments.

Patients must sign up for access.

From 13 May, letters are only sent digitally and are not posted. If you still need a paper copy, you can print your letters or take a screenshot directly from your account. You can also nominate a carer or family member to help manage your letters.

4 weeks worth of uncollected medication audited today. 23 bags, most containing more than one item. All will now be cancelled and re-scanned back into stock by our Dispensary team. Please remember to only order what you need. Thank you.
