Despite the water shortages we currently face, much of our community faces a yellow weather warning for rain between 9am and 10pm tomorrow.

The River Medway, River Eden and Eden Brook flowing through Tonbridge, Edenbridge and surrounding villages is on flood alert.

This means flooding is possible and we should prepare now given the heavy rain expected tomorrow.

The Met Office warns of "dangerous stormy winds" in the south-west of England on Thursday evening - all trains have been cancelled in Cornwall from 18:00.

THE FEAST OF THE THREE KINGS

The Feast of the Three Kings, also called Epiphany, is a Christian celebration that takes place on January 6.

It commemorates the moment when the Three Wise Men (or Magi)—Melchior, Gaspar, and Balthazar—visited baby Jesus in Bethlehem. Guided by a star, they brought three symbolic gifts:

• Gold, representing Jesus as a king
• Frankincense, representing his divinity
• Myrrh, representing his future suffering and death

The significance of this feast is that it celebrates the revelation of Jesus to the world, especially to the Gentiles (non-Jews). It shows that Jesus came not only for one people, but for all humanity.

In many cultures, especially in Spain and Latin America, this day is also associated with gift-giving, parades, and special foods like the Rosca de Reyes, making it both a religious and cultural celebration.

As we head towards Christmas and the New Year, please know that we are still here available to help and guide 24 hours a day; however we will be closing our offices for some of the days over the holiday period to give our staff a much needed rest and family time.
