A big part of First Aid is the aftercare, looking after the casualty is natural - but sometimes more importantly - looking after the person / people who dealt with the incident! ❤️
The casualty might not remember much, but the first aider & bystanders remember the details, please reach out and speak to someone after a severe incident so you can share your thoughts and come to terms with the incident, the outcomes and the next step of recovery for the casualty and for you 🥰

Everyone affected by cardiac arrest deserves ongoing support and information.

That's why last year in collaboration with Achub Bywyd Cymru / Save a Life Cymru we created the Support after cardiac arrest discharge resource.

Are you Resus Ready? If you have attended a first aid course in the last year, join the UK Resuscitation in lighting up their map! 😉 you’ll also receive a certificate to download ⛑️

Trained in CPR? You’re just a few clicks away from becoming ResusReady.

Help us light up our interactive UK map with people and organisations prepared to respond in an emergency. The more people on the map, the better we can identify where CPR support is most needed.

If you've completed CPR training in the last 12 months, register now: resus.org.uk/get-involved/resusready

The campaign for Benedict’s Law has taken a giant leap forward, with the Government committing to mandatory school allergy guidance and stronger protections for children and young people with allergies. This progress brings us closer to ensuring every school is equipped with the policies, training and life-saving resources needed to keep pupils safe.

A heartfelt thank you to Benedict Blythe Foundation, the wider allergy charity community, dedicated healthcare professionals, and everyone who has campaigned tirelessly for this change. Your passion and collaboration have helped shift the dial on school allergy safety — and we will not stop until all children are protected.

💬“I'm delighted that Benedict’s Law has been passed. This will ensure the safety of children and young people with allergies in schools.” – Tracey Dunn, Anaphylaxis UK Education and AllergyWise Manager

Together we can make school environments safer and more inclusive for every child with an allergy.
