In December 2025 our system
Shows that we had 6200 calls for that month . Our reception team are reporting that they feel an increased number of calls are from individuals who want to know
If their script is at the chemist . Please
can patients contact / visit their pharmacy for this as this delays the team being able to answer those calls from patients who may need appointments or to be seen urgently . We have about 40% of our practice population on repeat medication . If we can reduce this then call waiting times will improve.

You still have time to complete our annual questionnaire , it’s completely anonymous and will take just a couple of minutes . Please click on the link to take you to the site :

The practice has migrated over to the new system today . Everyone is learning to find their way around a new system. Thank you to the majority of patients who have been understanding while the team navigate this change. However, sadly, there are a minority of patients who think it’s ok to verbally abuse members of our team from GPs to receptionists . The practice has a zero tolerance to this and can off list patients if necessary . Posting defamatory comments on social media platforms is not appropriate. Please be kind .

PATIENT NOTICE- SYSTEM MIGRATION:

Across Wales GP practices are switching to a new clinical system. The practice is changing mid January 2026 and there will be some inevitable disruption . The practice will do everything it can to minimize this disruption but this is a significant change and will affect our ability to offer a full range of services during this period .

Thankyou for your patience and understanding as our clinical and admin teams work through this learning curve .

Expected disruption 8/1/26-15/1/26 -

Appointments - from 8th Jan to 15th Jan we will only be able to offer emergency on the day appointments this is for all clinicians.
After this period of time the practice willl have extended appointment times which will result in a reduction of the number of appointments available .

From today , we cannot accept any new registrations until after 14th January 2026 .

Lab results and clinical documents will also take longer to be processed .

Since 14/12/25 we have been processing double scripts where possible, please check with your chemist before requesting a January repeat prescription as there may already be a post dated one waiting for you at the chemist . Also , while our system is down between 8th - 14th Jan we will be unable to process electronic repeats. If there is something you need during this period please request before the 6th Jan . Our time frame for issuing scripts will also need to be extended for a little while , so please allow 5 working days for prescriptions turnaround .

If you order scripts using the NHS app - please be aware that this function will not be available while we switch over to our new system

Other options are Choose Pharmacy, NHS111 , minor injuries where appropriate .

We would be grateful if you could please bear with us during this transition .

22/09/2025

We are extremyly short staffed due to sickness with our admin team today , please be patient with us , if your call is not urgent for today please try ringing later or tomorrow .
