Please note, this page is not monitored for appointment bookings, treatment inquiries, or medical assistance. Our vision is better health and care for all. We are proud pioneers in integrating health and social care nationally. We passionately believe that the best way to care for people is by focusing on what matters to them, putting them at the centre of everything we do and integrating services around them. We believe that care as close to home as possible benefits everyone. Never has our vision been more important. The impact of COVID-19 has not only increased the pressure across all aspects of health and social care, but those who live in our most deprived coastal communities have seen an increasing gap in health inequalities. We provide health and social care services to our people in their own homes or in their local community. We also run Torbay Hospital (providing acute hospital services) as well as five community hospitals, stretching from Dawlish to Brixham. We support around 500,000 face-to-face contacts with patients in their homes and communities each year and see over 78,000 people in our A&E department annually. We serve a resident population of approximately 286,000 people, plus about 100,000 visitors at any one time during the summer holiday season. We are passionate about creating a fairer and more inclusive NHS for everyone. We employ over 6,500 staff, including doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, social workers, consultants, and physiotherapists, as well as highly skilled managers, administrators and technical experts. Our people work in a wide range of settings and locations across our communities, depending on their individual role or circumstances. We also have over 800 volunteers who make a difference every day to the people we care for and the services we provide. We were proud to be the first NHS Trust in England to integrate hospital and community care with social care. Now, as a well-established integrated care organisation (ICO) of more than seven years’ standing, we know first-hand the positive impact that working together in partnership with others has on our local population – giving everyone a brighter future.

🌱💜 Community in Bloom!

We’re thrilled to partner with Torquay Rotary Club, who have planted 1,000 purple crocuses by the Lowes Bridge entrance to Torbay Hospital. This beautiful display will brighten everyone’s day and raises awareness for Rotary’s global campaign to end polio.

A huge thank you to all the volunteers and staff who made this possible—proof that when our community comes together, we can achieve something truly special!

💚 Happy World Occupational Therapy Day!

Today we celebrate the incredible professionals who turn challenges into opportunities. Occupational therapists make everyday life possible, supporting people to live, learn, work, and play their way. 💪🌿

💚 Happy World Occupational Therapy Day!

This year’s theme, Occupational Therapy in Action, celebrates the active role occupational therapists play in supporting people to engage in the activities that matter most to them.

It shines a light on the vital contribution occupational therapy makes to promoting health and wellbeing across the world.

It’s the perfect theme as we head into (3–9 November), where we'll be launching our new Right Support, Right Time: Unlocking the Power of OT campaign to highlight the life-changing difference occupational therapists make – especially when they’re involved early.

💭 This Half Term: Stay Well and Help Us Help You

As we head into half term and colder weather, more people are feeling under the weather with coughs, colds, and seasonal bugs.

Knowing how to access the right care, at the right time means quicker support for you and helps our teams care for those who need it most.

Here’s how to make the right choice 👇

🤧 Self-care
For minor illnesses like coughs, colds, sore throats, mild flu symptoms, or tummy upsets — rest, stay warm, keep hydrated, and try over-the-counter medicines.

Most winter bugs and half-term sniffles will get better on their own within a week or two.

💊 Pharmacy
Your local pharmacist can give expert advice and treatments for a range of minor illnesses — no appointment needed!

🩺 GP or NHS 111
