“For Our Sisters Passed”
These two paintings I did in 2023 when out of know where I was taken in dream sleep to a vision of an Aboriginal woman standing in front of the sacred site Uluru - when I woke up the image and impression it had left on me was as clear as day so that same I painted the vision I was given and the days that followed took me on a journey of deep sorrow overcome with tears to discover through online research the utter atrocities Aboriginal women have faced over centuries and continue to suffer despite their community spirit and fight for change Aboriginal women in Australia are being murdered up to 12 times the national average. They are among the most victimised groups in the world repeatedly failed by their government.

I was moved to create a second painting out of my own honour for all the women who have passed at the hands of domestic violence neglected from protection - this painting is those women who have been left in grief but celebrating through ceremonial dance on their native land in honour and love for their grandmothers, mothers, aunties, sisters & daughters lost.
