Hello everyone. For the last month or so I have been busy studying my Level 3 Diploma in Sound Therapy. I recieved a Distinction grade which I am very proud of. This is something I have wanted to do for many years now. It will enhance all my therapies as well as be a stand alone treatment :)
My collection so far of sound therapy instruments :) i will be posting details tomorrow on every thing. But for now, heres a brief introduction :)
On the left are my tuning forks. They are my chakra set plus the Soul Star fork. The chakra set are tuned for each chakra to balance and realign them, and the Soul Star one helps you access your Higher Self. The other three (silver) are great for promoting relaxation, helping sleep, anxiety and also pain if targeted on certain areas of the body. How do they work? They are struck with a mallet to make them sound. The forks are then placed on the body (on chakra points etc) the vibrations are felt through the body and help with specific healing. They also work in the Aura too and you can listen to them by them being placed close to the ears. However they are used, you will get the benefits as the sound waves travel through the air :) I will start a treatment (with your consent) by using the singing bowl, then balancing your chakras, then I will commence with the Massage/Reflexology etc.
Next we have my drum. This is a synthetic one so no animals used in the making of this drum. Certain drum beats are used to different types of healing. Some are slower and induce peace and help with sleep and meditation, others are quicker and are great for clearing a space/getting rid of negative energy.
Finally we have my singing bowl. This is authentic (made in Nepal) and sings to the note E, associated with the Solar Plexus. This sound promotes deep relaxation, balances the solar chakra, helps sleep etc. The Solar Plexus is associated with confidence, will power, emotional processing.
I will be growing my collection and getting more tuning forks and singing bowls. I especially want to get some larger singing bowls so I can offer Sound Massages.
