Busy busy today :) lots of treatments to do and studying today 🪻 Look out for information in the next few weeks about Hand Reflexology! This is great for people who have tickly feet, can't have Foot Reflexology due to medical issues or if you just don't want your feet touching :) I will give more information out as soon as possible :) 🙏

Today I will talk about Indian Head Massage :)

This treatment is carried on my Indian Head Massage chair. It is fully adjustable so you can get in the perfect position, making you very comfortable. Your shins rest on the sections below the seat pad and your arms rest in front of you, head goes in the head rest :)

The routine covers -
Middle back, shoulders, neck, arms and hands, scalp and face (60mins)
The 30min treatment does not include arms and hands.

What happens during the treatment?
I start on the middle of your back, then your shoulders and neck using different Massage techniques to ease tension/knots in muscles. Then I will Massage your arms/hands (during the 60min treatment) then your neck. Techniques on the scalp can vary from being a bit rigorous to soothing. The rigorous movements are to increase blood flow/circulation to the scalp. This helps ease tension headaches, also by stimulating the blood flow to the scalp, it helps with hair growth. After the scalp massage, i will massage your face - this has some great movements that help detoxify, also helping blocked sinuses and grounding you. Its a very relaxing way to end your treatment :)

Hello everyone :) i did say i would put a post about Reflexology, how it works, what the benefits are etc..

Pictured is a Reflexology foot chart by Doreen E Bayly - this is similar to the one I studied in 2010 while studying for my Diploma. It shows the reflexes worked during a treatment.

Reflexology treats ALL systems of the body using pressure techniques and massage movements over the Reflexes shown.

The treatment starts with some opening movements which prepare the body (and feet) for treatment. Starting at your big toe (head area), then working up the spine (back), working along your toes (eyes/ears), then to the shoulder reflex, the lungs etc. I won't list the whole routine. Movements are very deliberate and relaxing.

People feel tingling sensations sometimes, you can feel 'crunchy' areas being worked over, these are areas of pain or tension which may need deeper attention. For example, crunchiness to the shoulder reflex will mean tension there so I may suggest a Back/Neck and Shoulder massage to also release that tension. Most people lighter on their feet after a treatment, some saying they feel like they are walking on air. Often, people fall asleep during Reflexology.
