When life takes an unexpected turn - through a diagnosis, a crisis, or unforeseen circumstances - it can feel like we’ve lost the map.

Parenting in these circumstances can be lonely, overwhelming, and full of questions we never thought we’d ask.

Counselling doesn’t change the path, but it can help you find your footing. A place to grieve, to speak the unspeakable, to be heard without judgment.

A space to slowly make sense of where you are and to move forward with more clarity, and less isolation.

As a client has recently completed their counselling journey for now, I have a space available for 1:1 online counselling sessions. If this sounds like it could be for you, please visit my website to find out more https://revibe-counselling.co.uk

Burnout doesn’t just leave you exhausted—it chips away at your patience, joy, and sense of self.

Motherhood comes with an endless to-do list, constant decision-making, and the invisible labor of keeping everything running. And when you’re stretched too thin for too long, the weight of it all starts to take a toll.

💭 It’s harder to stay patient when your capacity is depleted.
💭 It’s harder to rest when your mind is always racing.
💭 It’s harder to feel present when you’re constantly running on fumes.
💭 It’s harder to feel like yourself when your needs are always last.

Burnout makes everything feel heavier, and when the load never lets up, it’s easy to believe this is just how motherhood has to be.

But here’s the truth: You weren’t meant to do this alone.

If you’re feeling depleted, therapy can help you:
➡️ Identify what’s draining you and set boundaries to protect your energy.
➡️ Let go of the guilt that keeps you from prioritizing yourself.
➡️ Reconnect with who you are outside of motherhood.
➡️ Find ways to lighten the load—without pressure or shame.

At Momwell, our maternal mental health therapists specialize in helping moms navigate burnout, overwhelm, and the invisible load—because you deserve support, too.

We’re in-network with many major insurance providers, and on average, copays are just $0–30 per session.

Visit momwell.com/booking to book a free 15-minute consultation.

Christmas can be tricky to navigate when there is something a bit more going on in the family.

Often neurodivergent family members find it difficult to regulate with the change of routines, and this can create a perfect storm when your own nervous system is jangling with the increasing demands of the season.

Mixing all the generations together, or being alone at this time of year, can bring subconscious family dynamics or personal internal dialogues to the fore. Often grief is in the mix too, and hearts are tender.

All in all it can be a minefield of a season. It can help to find little moments to escape to another room for a sensory break, to lower your expectations of what the season ‘should’ look like and to prioritise one thing that you’d like to do, however small, that feels meaningful to you.

If you’re feeling subversive and are robust enough a little game of bingo about what might happen or be said in the family can add some amusement eg * someone storms out of the room during a game of monopoly * child gets up at 4am * someone complains about sprouts * child wants chicken nuggets * grandpa falls asleep in the chair * teenager swears in front of granny * cat knocks over the Christmas tree * etc

Sometimes Christmas and the New Year provide an opportunity for reflection and a time to look inwards. If you want some counselling support in the New Year, it’s looking like I’ve got a couple of weekly session times coming available.

To find out more do have a browse of my website https://revibe-counselling.co.uk and get in touch to arrange an initial introductory call. Most of my sessions are online so it doesn’t matter where in the UK you are.

It’s the bit between seasons, and I’m still hanging onto the last remnants of summer 🌻

Transitions are hard for many young people. Many aren’t able to attend school, some are struggling in, some enjoy the distraction and routine of school life.

Whatever your circumstances, in my work I use a compassionate counselling approach to help you explore the emotions you are with, navigate the ups and downs and refocus on ways to find more fulfillment in life.

If you’ve been lurking on the edges of wanting to start counselling, now is a good time to get in touch with me before my last couple of spaces fill up. I work mainly on zoom, check out my website for more info https://revibe-counselling.co.uk

With the school holidays looming, this can be a relief for some parents and can bring up feelings of overwhelm and fear for others.

If you have had some counselling sessions with me before and would like a little summer top up, there are a few spaces here and there emerging with all the comings and goings of the holiday season.

I’m also taking bookings for new clients either to start over the summer or from September.

Much of my counselling work is with Mums, parents whose children have a bit more going on, and people who care for others. Visit my website for all the details https://revibe-counselling.co.uk

As well as continuing to accept private clients, I now also work with WPA health insurance (Western Provident Association). Hopefully this will help some people to access counselling more easily and in a timely way.

If you would like to book in for some sessions and you are insured with WPA just let me know when you get in touch.
