Great advice from Move it or Lose it .

🚶‍♀️ How much should we really be sitting, standing, and moving each day? A new study has the answers — and they could help lower your risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes!

Here’s what they found:
🪑 Sit less — aim for no more than 6 hours and 10 minutes daily (way less than the UK average of 9 hours!)
🦵 Stand more — try to stand for at least 5 hours and 10 minutes a day to keep blood flowing and your metabolism ticking
🌿 Move lightly — increase light activities like housework, gardening, or walking to over 2 hours daily
🏃‍♂️ Get moderate to vigorous exercise — aim for 150 minutes a week of brisk walking, cycling, or swimming

The takeaway? Every bit of movement counts. Even light activity helps! So, break up your sitting time — stand during TV adverts, take the stairs, or do the ‘Cuppa Routine’ while waiting for the kettle to boil. Our Cuppa Routine Tea-Towels are a fun reminder to keep moving throughout the day! ☕️💪
