For women who want movement in their lives, but find it hard to get to a class…

Do you recognise yourself here?
• You feel frazzled and are longing to carve out some time just for yourself
• You love dancing once you’re actually doing it, but it’s hard to motivate yourself, especially on a dark morning or after a bad night’s sleep
• You love the ease of moving in your own space at home, in your comfy clothes, without worrying about how you look
• You haven’t got the energy or means to get to an in-person class
• It’s easier to find a sense of safety and belonging with a small intimate group
• You know that movement helps your mood, your nervous system and your body…
• And you know yourself well enough to know that doing this alone, at home, with good intentions… rarely happens.

This is for you, dear soulful ones. Movement for Well-being is a supportive online group for women to explore movement, rest, presence and connection.

We gather on Zoom:
5 fortnightly Wednesday mornings 10am-11.45am
28 January
11 & 25 February
11 & 25 March
£50 (low income) – £100 (supporter) per participant based on your income.
Full bursaries - no need to explain - for those in need, thanks to National Lottery Funding.

Build a regular movement and dance practice that helps you feel calmer and more resourced in daily life, deepen trust in your body’s wisdom, and stay connected through the gentle accountability of a small, consistent group.

We start this Wednesday! Couple of places available.

Want to dance freely, adults alongside children?

Family dance is our favourite way to spend Sunday morning. It’s a joyful, drop in dance space for families who already love to move or are curious to give it a go together.

We believe that children who witness parents enjoying freedom of movement are more likely themselves to express more of who they are as they grow, emotionally and physically.

📅 Sunday 1 February
🕥 10.30am–12.00pm
📍 Moor Imagination Collective, Chapel Street, Buckfastleigh
👣 Led by Adam Griffin and Asher Levin

Cost: Sliding scale £8–14
Children come for free.
Concessions and full bursaries are available thanks to National Lottery funding.

Come dance, connect, play, laugh, rest.
Be part of the movement! 🤩

For women craving movement that nourishes rather than depletes... Movement for Well-Being is a regular online dance space to reconnect with your body and aliveness ✨

What happens in a Movement for Well-Being session?

We begin with a short check-in. You are welcome to share in words, through movement, or simply arrive in silence.

We then move into the main part of the session: a music and movement journey, lightly guided by Leela Fisk. You are always invited to listen to your body and follow what it needs in the moment. That might be rest or stillness, gentle exploration, larger movement, or energetic dancing. You are in your own space and you move in your own way.

We close with breakout rooms in pairs, where you take turns witnessing and being witnessed in your unique movement and expression.

Five fortnightly Wednesday mornings on Zoom
10.00–11.45am
28 January
11 & 25 February
11 & 25 March

The group is limited to 14 women, keeping it cosy and intimate. No need to be “good at dancing”, no need to dress special. Come in your pajamas if you like 😊

We were touched by these reflections from one of our regular Family Dance participants. Her words say more than we ever could about why this space exists.

💬 “We love Family Dance. It’s a very precious space, and deeply supports our wellbeing as a family. It’s precious to me that my young son sees men dance, sees the male leaders dance, sees his father dance.

It’s very good for my health as a mum that they bring out the crayons, pencils and paper. It gives me a chance to move my own body free of my son, which is very rare for me these days. It gives my husband and I a rare chance to dance together without our son wanting to be swung around.

What I see when we take our son to football is the boys generally play football; and the girls are still dancing in little pink dresses. Family Dance is something quite different - where humans dance and families dance, beyond gender templates. Dance is part of our humanity and part of our birthright. It’s very precious to me that we give our son that community experience every month.

I’m deeply grateful to the leaders for their devotion and very high level of skill.

I wish we could have Family Dance every week and I wish everyone everywhere could have Family Dance.”

— Briony Greenhill, October 2025

This online series is for women who are longing to carve time and space for themselves and be part of a supportive community of women. Through movement, breath, presence and rest... we welcome ourselves and each other, just as we are.

If in-person classes aren’t accessible due to location, health, children, caring responsibilities or other reasons, this group offers a deeply nourishing space that you can join from your own home.
