THE AGELESS MAN IS BACK!
We are very excited to announce that our popular and immersive 8 session weekly programme for men who smoke and want to make a change, is back for the beautiful Spring of 2026... 🌞

Join us in the great outdoors, round the fire, on the river, in the woods - for connection, conversation, inspiration, great food and a breath of fresh air! 🍃

Some feedback from our 2024 programme:
“When I’m walking, I don’t now walk with an intention of getting there. I just walk… I try to count my breaths.”

“Meeting men on a level of openness and compassion that hasn’t been the norm in my life.”

“Learning that muscle health is just as important as heart health as I get older.”

If you're a smoker, identify as male and are looking to step out and broaden your horizon, we welcome you to JOIN US for this entirely FREE programme funded by the amazing Devon Community Foundation in conjunction with Public Health. ❤️‍🩹

Reserve your space now via the Eventbrite link below. We look forward to welcoming you on board! 🫂

Torbay Men's Wellbeing Design Day 31/01/26:

Wow, simply WOW. What a day! Where to start...

We had originally prepared for a maximum of around 12 participants for this session, based upon interest. We ended up with more or less 20 incredible and passionate guys rallying together for the shared purpose of desiring to make Torbay a better place for wellbeing, safety, support and connection. The energy in the house was so beautifully empowering, it encapsulated everything we had hoped for and more, so thank you all again!

We started the day with our usual "check in", modeled from our Dough Bros programme, this always helps to "break the ice" so to speak. As it's not an easy thing to just turn up to a room full of fellows and feel at ease enough to get stuck straight in, so we always try to acknowledge that and give the time and space required to land.

After the check in's, we had an introduction to the day by our founder and lead facilitator, Simon Dyer. This set the tone for the day and laid out examples of our core values and models for the kind of programmes we were hoping to design and create together going forwards...

Then the exciting parts,
Pizza Pirates UK style pizzas for lunch, a joint activity, demonstrated and led by example by some of the team. Participants always have the option to make their own pizzas, as we do in our longstanding Dough Bros program.

Following on from that, the main part of the day - the DESIGN - so wonderful to be part of!
We split into groups of 4 and got the brains and emotions ticking, coming up with activities and programmes that we could envisage creating and running in Torbay, open to the public but specialised for men. Some examples were choir groups, 5-a-side football with feelings, physical arts with stage performances, crafting and DIY, kite building, wood working and a host of others with a list far too expansive for Facebook!

We of course also discussed the logistics and practicalities of how we would go forwards with some of these bright ideas, the need for facilitators with some relevant experience, locations and any extra resources and funding we would need, since we have an initial plan for a 12 month programme but ideally would like to establish a collaborative in Torbay that could outlast that and become ever growing.

A truly amazing turn out which we were blessed to be able to host and be part of.

Once again, thanks to everyone who showed up and dedicated their love and energy to what is just the beginning of an amazing collaborative initiative for Torbay!

See you all soon,
Much love

Special thanks to Momentum, Standing Tall, The Bro Project, The LADS Group, WHiYOU, Moordoor Media and any other organisations who provided their support on the day and with this project.

Did you know su***de remains the top killer of men under 50, often striking in the shadows of unspoken isolation?

This Giving December, we're turning every purchase into a lifeline. 🌿❤️

That's why Plant Prana is donating 10% of all proceeds this week to Resilient Lives, a local social enterprise that empowers men through peer-led spaces for connection, support, and growth.

Through their Dough Bro's initiative, they offer fun, hands-on pizza-making programs that help guys manage mental health, combat isolation, and rebuild well-being. They've already touched hundreds of lives, often providing that crucial nudge toward hope and healing.

As entrepreneurs and humans, we know loneliness can hit hard. Let's change that together. Shop now, feeling good that every nut butter helps build stronger communities.

Men being more likely to die by su***de is becoming one of the most tragicly recognised truisms of our age.

We believe that the lack of deep and honest connection many men feel with other men is one of the causes of the loneliness and desperation that leads to male su***de.

On this ***depreventionday find a mate, tell them you love them. Make the connection happen, or it might never happen

More spaces that allow men the space to do this, will help all men get the help they need. Su***de prevention doesn't start at crisis point.

What's the link between masculinity, physical activity and injury? That's been our theme this week @ Ageless Man, as we continue to explore what it means to be a man.

This week we were joined by the amazing Dr Tom Boyd of the giving us his expert experience on men, exercise, injury and recovery. It was an amazing discussion, and we could have been there all night. Some of the key themes:

👊We're made to move, and should be aiming for at least some minimal exercise everyday. Ignore the messages and pressures of the fitness industry and just get out and move!
👊We should all be aiming for a mixture of resistance and cardio each week. It not only makes us fitter, but can extend our lives!
👊You don't have to be a beefcake to be physically fit...just being active is enough; if you have a physical job, rest is just as important!
👊Sleep is SUPER important for recovery
👊Listen to your body...don't be a hero and try to overdo it!

Our research into cultural conceptions of manhood tell us that everywhere men are culturally expected to take risks and face danger. We take that into our exercise patterns, overdo it and get injured. Then we can't move and feel less of a man. this leads to poor mental health and further risky behaviour such as drink and drugs.

Amazingly nearly every man present had a story or how they USED to be more active when they were younger, then something happened and they stopped.

We're learning how important our connections to our physical selves are to our mental health as men.

If this resonates for you too, leave us a comment below 👇💪
