Nourishing Shiatsu

Nourishing Shiatsu Shiatsu Practice It is often described as Japanese massage, or
acupuncture without the needles. The NHS describes Shiatsu as
complementary to physiotherapy.

Shiatsu is a touch-based therapy that applies natural leaning
pressure to areas of the surface of the body for the purpose of
correcting imbalances and maintaining and promoting health. Shiatsu, a Japanese word that literally means finger pressure,
derives its theoretical and practical roots from the ancient traditions
of Oriental Medicine and it combines this with the knowledge of the
Western Medicine. Shiatsu can be beneficial for a wide range of health conditions. It’s
an adaptable treatment that is shaped to the individual’s needs at
the time and suitable for most people. Shiatsu is a natural therapy that can help to restore your body's
equilibrium through achieving a state of deep relaxation. This can
enable positive changes in physical, mental and emotional well-being. The treatment is usually given on a futon at floor level and involves finger, palm, forearm, elbow, knee pressure applied to receiver's whole body through soft comfortable clothing. Holding, stretching and joint rotations are some of the techniques that are used during the treatment.

How are you nourishing yourself in this -Yin Water phase of the year? A good time to address any health problems now for a better lived year ahead. The principle -Yin nourishes Yang- is more understandable in this context. ☯️
We are naturally invited to go inward by nature.
Stay inwards, rest, store, dream, concentrate (reflect) we do this by minimum required movement.
I am admiring the trees again in bare, naked form.

I am always fascinated with the spiritual aspects of the elemental energies. If you are interested in learning the elemental forces what are within you and around you I really recommend first making a connection with the spiritual aspect of it and then the rest flows rather than trying to learn it through tables and lists..

Being in Metal season, Autumn, now it’s so much easier to connect with this elemental energy. It’s all around us; falling, letting go, rotting, returning. And of course the emotions that come along with these happenings; sadness, grief, deep longing, seeking value (in and outside of self), loosing yourself and then finding yourself.
Once we understand P’o we understand its association with breath and the lungs, physical sensations and pain.
I find mindfulness practices helps the spirit P’o the most when there is an imbalance.

This was my sweet and sour morning porridge for a week inspired by the lemons that fell off the tree.
It’s rolled oats (I think it would have better if it was polenta but I couldn’t find any locally) cooked with a few pieces of local peach then layered by lemon juice, tahini, some more raw peach (for cooling) and toasted nuts.
Yam, I think over all it was really warming for the climate (reaching 40 degrees) but kept me full for straight 5-6 hours.
