Dream Thyme Herbal

Dream Thyme Herbal I forage local plants to hand make my unique, palm free herbal skincare and remedies in my Devon home Thank you.

My recipes are my own creations and are free of palm oil and nasties. I make many of my own herbal oils from the plants that I pick, as well as water infusions to blend into the creams. I offer Home Herbal workshops at Dartington College, Devon. These are seasonal workshops where we taste, smell and make useful family friendly herbal recipes for common ailments and skincare (Crafted Dartington). Some of my work is creating tailor made remedies for individuals for specific ailments. It's best to call me to discuss these or email dreamthymeherbal@gmail.com.

Potting up the pinky Thirsty Face cream. I'm inhaling Rose Maroc, Rose Geranium and Frankincense. Not a bad way to spend a Thursday evening ✨.

See you at Totnes market tomorrow.

Bye for now 🌸

A fresh batch of the ever glorious THIRSTY FACE CREAM is almost ready for you.

I'm still emulsifying the beeswax, oils and herbal water. It takes a good couple of hours to emulsify to the texture I like.

Time for a cuppa before whisking further.

A glorious blend of locally foraged Rosehips, Nettles, together with homegrown Marshmallow leaves and Marigold petals.

With oils of Sweet Almond, Avocado πŸ₯‘, Wheat germ, Coconut πŸ₯₯ and Calendula.

A dream face cream intended for everyday application to ageing skin. Hence the delightful essential oils of Rose Maroc, Frankincense and Rose Geranium.

30 ml Β£21, 60 ml Β£37.50. A little goes a very long way.

DM to reserve a large pot or to order either size.

Mindfully created and handmade by me ☺️.

Love Tania πŸ’–

Comfrey balms are still warm!

Comfrey is also known as 'knitbone' because of its ability to bind together fractured bones. Whilst it's not often used for that nowadays it offers so many useful healing benefits.

I created this balm for my dear Dad. It was to repair the damaged skin caused by his athlete's foot. Because he never liked having too many little pots in his bathroom cabinet, he requested that I make the balm 'multipurpose', to address his fungus, damaged skin and dry feet. 'OK Dad, I'll see what I can do ' I replied. So I set out to research what I'd need and created this amazing herbal creation which has uses far beyond what Dad required.

Many customers have taken the balm overseas and successfully applied it to :

- πŸͺΌ stings
- cuts & grazes
- wounds
- insect stings
- spider πŸ•·οΈ bites

It holds a special place in my heart whenever I make it. It's full of love and care.

My Dad was really impressed with how it treated his athlete's foot. It was sooo wonderful to be able to help him.

I miss him everyday, but he lives on in several of my herbal creations, the Rosemary and Ginger foot cream, the Muscle and Joint Ease oil, and of course the Comfrey balm.

My creations aren't just necessities, they're pots of love and memories.

I hope you can feel that.

Love you Dad πŸ’™

Alexander plants are a tasty Spring edible (Smyrnium olusatrum).

Their young Spring 🌱 shoots can be steamed, stir-fried, or added to soups. Stems can be boiled, peeled and candied. The seeds can be used as a spicy, peppery substitute, harvested at this time of year.

I like to stir fry the young shoots. Or try steaming and serving them with butter and a squeeze of lemon πŸ‹. Why not add them to salads as a leafy green πŸ’š?

Ensure you are certain with your identification of this plant as it is a member of the HEMLOCK family.

The sun was shining and the birds were singing 🌞.

I'm straining my FIRE CIDER and squeezing every drop out of each and every ingredient.

This time I've added vitamin rich Blueberries 🫐, together with Horseradish, Rosemary, Ribwort Plantain, Cinnamon, Clove, Nettle, Onion πŸ§…, Garlic πŸ§„, Lemon πŸ‹, Orange 🍊 and Thyme.

It's a SUPER FIRE CIDER!

I'll be adding Honey 🍯 to taste and for its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.

Yummy πŸ˜‹.
