āStress melted away.ā
I read that comment⦠and I paused for a moment.
Because yes⦠it did.
And it made me think back to Covid.
To that period where we were all a little more disconnected.
Less touch.
Less contact.
Less of those simple, human moments we used to take for granted.
And I remember how much people felt that.
How something as basic as touch suddenly became⦠rare.
So when someone comes in now, lies on the table, and lets goā¦
Is it the pressure?
Is it the quiet?
Is it the nervous system finally slowing down?
Yes.
But I think itās also thisā¦
Being in contact with another human being.
Skin to skin.
Safe.
Held.
Without needing to speak, explain, or be anything.
Just being there.
Because touch does something powerful.
It lowers cortisolā¦
and increases oxytocin.
Safety.
Connection.
Trust.
And for a lot of peopleā¦
thatās what theyāve been missing.
So when they say āstress melted awayāā¦
What theyāre really saying is:
āI felt safe again.ā
āI felt connected again.ā
āI could finally let go.ā
And that goes far beyond technique.
Most therapists focus on what theyāre doing.
But what truly stays with the clientā¦
is how they FELT in YOUR presence.
Iāve put together a simple guide on what really makes clients come back⦠and what quietly pushes them away.
If you want it, comment GUIDE and Iāll send it to you š
