I may have accidentally dropped a drizzle of golden syrup on them too πŸ˜ƒ
Cinammon & currant protein pancakes (makes 6)
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
3 eggs
85g oats
100ml almond milk
50g currants/raisins
Add any topping you like. Around 150kcal per pancake 7.7g protein each one

So after buying Aldis salted caramel protein pancakes, I decided why not just make them myself. A lot cheaper and less processed. I need to work on my shaping 🀣 but they tasted great and you can add whatever you fancy on top. They have the caramel sweetness so banana goes well. Here’s the recipe for anyone that fancies giving them a go.

PhD salted caramel protein powder- 1 scoop
3 eggs
85g porridge oats
1tsp vanilla extract
100ml unsweetened almond milk (or milk of your choice)

Wizz the oats in a blender before adding the rest of the ingredients. Mixture should make 6. They can be left in fridge for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
110kcal per pancake
Protein - 7.7g
Fat - 4.2g
Carbs - 9g

I’ve been researching a fair amount into the use of GLP-1s and how to support clients for a while, but I felt it was necessary to back it up with a further bit of studying and an exam πŸ™‚
Nutrition support plays a major role in how to navigate your way successfully through this process and out the other side of it. Done the right way will lead to retention of muscle mass, a healthy relationship with food and how to sustain balance in your daily diet and a better mindset.
