I'm back from Cape Town!
I landed on Monday morning, travel-weary with airplane knees and heavy legs, and still wondering if the Earth somehow grew in size while I was gone… because, wow, that flight felt never-ending.
I don’t remember international flights to South Africa being quite so long or quite so painful to sit through. The journey was broken into two via Addis Ababa (hello, Ethiopia!), and while the first leg wasn’t too bad, the second… gah.
Let’s just say I’m still recovering. I was very happy to move with our Monday 6.05pm community class, it felt great after 2 weeks of not really moving, and eating too much.
My very best friend Kim (who does not take no for an answer) insisted I be there for her 50th birthday. So off I went!
The highlight for me? A spontaneous, epic 12-minute helicopter ride over Cape Town Harbour and the glorious Twelve Apostles, closely followed by sitting in the most stunning tree I’ve ever met (shhh, don’t tell the other trees).
In a nutshell, my two weeks consisted of:
🌟 Three birthday parties: A high tea, a Great Gatsby night, and an '80s throwback bash
🌟 Cake - lots of it. Possibly too much...
🌟 Gorgeous food and even better company
🌟 A helicopter ride
🌟 A two-day hot springs retreat in the mountains
🌟 Spending quality time with my bestie & family peeps
Back to classes!
Classes are now back to normal until 18th August, when we’ll pause for a two-week summer break.
🌿Fancy a walk with me on Sunday?🌿
Join me on Sunday, 27th July, 8.30am @ Lepe Beach
Join me for a free Seva Yoga walk around the Lepe Loop. We’ll meet in the grassy parking area near the lighthouse and start/end there. Toilets are in the other car park, but no judgement if you opt for a nature wee!
🐾 Dogs welcome.
The tides aren’t right for a swim this time, but bring a flask of tea and enjoy it with good company at the end. Parking is paid on exit.
Distance: 5.9 miles (9.3 km)
Duration: 2-3 hours

As always, I can’t wait to see you in class, or out walking under the trees.
With love,
