A little something for our Butchery and Game Larder followers. Take a look at this great system and the wonderful story behind it.
Here is an example of our most recent installation of an IRRERA Meat Rail System for a new meat ageing and storage facility in North West London.
Working closely with our customer and the manufacturer A.I Guidovie, Daniel designed this bespoke meat rail system around the constraints of this 2.5m internal height cold room, powerful evaporators and a main building supporting pillar.
Here the hook height arrives 2m above the ground and the rails allow for good airflow and safe handing of the meat throughout the cold room.
Recently we keep getting asked the questions; ‘How is this system AI ?’
‘Was this designed by AI ?’
‘Did you use AI to work out the hanging capacity?’
In fact it is none of the above.
A.I are the initials of the late Signor Angelo Irrera, the inventor, who designed the system after a chance encounter with a butcher who described the risks handling, transporting and storing meat. From that conversation the idea took shape. And in the early 1970’s the development of the innovative internal hook rail system made a patented breakthrough that transformed the meat industry.
This pioneering solution improved efficiency and set new safety standards in the workplace.
Today, we at Angel Refrigeration are humbled to have been chosen to offer this solution to Butchers, Game Dealers and Stalkers across the UK and Ireland.
