This is the interview Bernie Keith did this morning with Jemma and Paul. They chatted about the work renew169 does, the café, the community garden and the partnership with Bell Plantation Garden Centre & Café. Our thanks to Bernie Keith and to all the team at BBC Northamptonshire for the opportunity to talk about our work.
The interview can be heard about 1 hour and 25 minutes in, just after the Paul McCartney song and will be available for 29 days from today’s date.

Join Bernie for celebrity interviews, local guests and great music.

Today sees the start of Community Garden Week, which takes place during the first week of April. It is organised by Social Farms & Gardens, a UK-wide charity that supports communities to garden and grow together and is supported by the National Garden Scheme (NGS). Please see in the comments an article by Holly Dodd, written after last year’s event, which outlines the health and social benefits of community gardening.

The photograph shows volunteers getting stuck in at our Community Garden at the Tove Valley Centre on Northampton Road. It is open on Tuesday & Thursday mornings from 10.30am-1pm, so why not come along, meet our friendly team and experience the benefits of community gardening for yourself!

The 16th May 2026 will see the return of the Towcester Mill Brewery Sportive: a fantastic day of cycling starting and finishing at the picturesque Towcester Mill Brewery.
We are excited to announce that this year Colin Richardson will be cycling for ‘Team Renew’ and raising money for us through sponsorship. Please take a look at his JustGiving page below and show your support by sponsoring him if you are able to. All the money Colin raises through this challenge will go towards the ongoing work of renew169. Thank you!

Colin has been cycling for many years and is delighted to be taking part in the Towcester Mill Brewery Cycle Sportive on Saturday 16th May to raise funds for the renew169 Wellbeing Cafe. He has been inspired by his wife who volunteers at the charity.
