📢 We’re Hiring – Part-Time Receptionist

Treharris Primary Care Centre & Oaklands Surgery (Valleys Medical Group) are looking to recruit a Part-time Receptionist to join our friendly and growing team.

Hours: 16 hours per week
Location: Treharris Primary Care Centre & Oaklands Surgery
Contract: Permanent (subject to probation period and DBS check)
Pay: Minimum wage

This is an exciting and challenging role within a busy medical centre. You will be working alongside a supportive team of Receptionists, Doctors, Nurses and Administration staff.

Main duties include: (but are not limited to)
• Greeting patients and visitors to the surgery
• Booking appointments via telephone and face to face
• Handling telephone enquiries
• Signposting patients to relevant services and agencies

About you:
• Able to work well within a team and independently
• Excellent attention to detail
• Able to prioritise a busy workload and work under pressure
• Confident using computers/CRM systems with good typing skills (training will be provided for our in-house system)

Full training and structured induction will be provided, along with continuous support to help you settle into the role.

Dementia Support

Local support available through our fully trained Dementia Advisers

The Alzheimer’s Society provides one to one, personalised information, advice and support to people waiting for or who have a diagnosis of dementia, their carers, family and friends.
We can also support people who do not yet have a diagnosis or have concerns about their memory.

We can:
• Support to get and understand a diagnosis of dementia
• Provide information and advice about dementia and coping strategies
• Support to understand entitlements, including benefits
• Signpost/refer to appropriate community groups/services
• Refer to any of our services
• Provide emotional and practical support
• Provide Keeping in Touch calls to support throughout the journey with dementia
• Deliver our information and support programme for carers of people living with dementia (CRISP).
